The SD's are going to be the Democratic SC ?
At the rate we are going, we are going to repeat the election of 2000 in reverse, in which Al Gore won the popular vote but was denied the Presidency by the SC (Supreme Court). At the present time, we have a candidate that is ahead in the popular vote and the total delegates. Yet, his opponent's strategy is to get the SD's (Super Delegates) to overlook the popular vote and give it to the other candidate. That appears to be the only remaining strategy?

The Democratic voters are told to disregard the popular vote up to this time because the person with the most votes in the Democratic primaries cannot win the general election. It strains credulity. Vote for the person with the least amount of votes because they stand a better chance of beating the Republican in the general election? They are campaigning for the SD votes.

1. Oh

I think we can clearly see all kinds of devious strategies...

"During an interview with the Philadelphia Daily News editorial board, Hillary Clinton again pitched the idea that she can close the gap in the pledged delegate count - by pointing out that pledged delegates can always switch their votes.

"And also remember that pledged delegates in most states are not pledged," said Clinton. "You know, there is no requirement that anybody vote for anybody. They're just like super-delegates."

4. Hillary Translation: Voting doesn't count
In fact why did we start this process anyway?

2. This is not a valid "strategy"...
...this is Hillary Clinton poking a stick in the eye of the Obama campaign, and also
into the eyes of half of the Democratic party.

She just can't stand that she's lost. She can't deal with it.

So, she's agitating and stirring the pot. It's the only thing left, that she can do.

Don't worry about the Super Delegates. I laugh when people believe that they will somehow fall in
line for Hillary and buy her ridiculous, half-cocked, new-wave metrics. The Super Delegates are
very seasoned, sophisticated politicians.

They simply will not go for any of this fantastical bullshit that Hillary is spewing out.

She's playing the part of the human washing machine---agitating and agitating some more.

None of her antics mean anything or will be relevant. She's just getting some last digs
in--because she knows the nomination is all but sealed.

Let her stomp her feet and whine and throw out her barbs. It's good comedy!

3. It should be obvious to everyone that if SD overturn the Pledged delegates all hell will break loose

That would damage the party so badly that it may never be the same.

We just lost the Presidency TWICE to a total and complete moron. If we fuck up our selection of a nominee this time around the party is screwed. All the young voters who supported Obama would be gone for years, maybe decades, as well as the African American vote.

The party can't afford selecting Clinton. One loss to McCain would not be as bad as this (and I think Obama will kick his old tired confused ass)

5. But they plan on talking Obama into taking the VP spot...
If he refused, it is all for naught.

9. And, God help me..
I might be gone, too. I'm a loyal democrat, after being raised as a RRWacko. This is more than choosing the lesser of 2 evils for me, as Hillary would be if she managed to get in through SDs. This is about choosing the right person under democratic principles. This is about standing up for the ideals we believe in. If the democratic party doesn't represent this, then Lord only knows what my choices are, because I sure don't.

6. If that's the case
Why bother having elections at all?
Elections are expensive, messy, and time consuming. We could just have TPTB, in their infinite wisdom, install whomever they like.
Of course, our credibility for pushing democracy around the world will be even further damaged. Oh well. You can't have everything.
