Atrios NAILS that icky feeling we all have about Hillary
That icky feeling is very hard to describe. I couldn't put my finger on it. And then Atrios nailed it:

Deep Thought

Remember back in junior high, when you had that friend that the bullies picked on all the time? And you defended that friend, who really never did all that much for you, which led to you getting your ass kicked a few times yourself? And then you got to high school and your friend joined up with the bullies? It's kind of like that.

Or, an icky feeling about Obama. Your feelings are just that, your feelings, not anyone else's.

14. Atrios admits that Hillary-haters have juvenile minds and are emotionally stuck in high school.
I'm surprised to see Atrios admit to what most of us Hillary supporters have long thought about most Hillary-haters: they don't really know WHY they hate her, but they know that all the cool kids can't stand her, so they hate her, too, hoping it will make the cool kids like them.

IOW, All it takes to be socially accepted is to join a lynch mob.

...but I guess it's a fair analogy for Democratic corporatism, and the way we get suckered into voting for rich people--who nearly always betray us.

edit: I should specify that I have similar fears about both Democratic candidates, and McCain of course is a given.

31. All fine except Team Clinton did a FREAKING HELL of a lot for us and the economy.
How short people's memories are.

Longest peacetime expansion.

All boats floated higher not just the rich.

Soaring employment and stock market.

From deficits to surpluses.

Etc. Etc.

44. The good lasted HOW LONG while the bad lasted HOW LONG? Was deep-sixing BCCI matters
throughout the 90s worth it to this nation?

Are TEMPORARY fixes STILL MORE attractive to you or do you realize now how TRUTH is the foundation for a solid economy AND a stronger more secure nation?

For the increases in productivity, working people got relatively little. They got out just as the bubble burst.

49. Don't thank the Clintons. Thank Bill Gates and all of the DotCom hucksters.
It was artificial growth driven by stock market speculation and fraudulent bookkeeping. And it collapsed.

Credit where credit is due. And the Clintons deserve next to zero credit from the economic expansion of the '90s.

Sometimes things happen IN SPITE OF the the president not because of them.
