How come the media and Obama have totally given the Clinton's a pass on Bill's White House sex scand...
To be honest, I still wonder about Bill. Especially since he said that the reason he did it was because HE COULD.

It was disturbing then and it's still disturbing.

How can she run a country if she does not even know what is going on in the WH

Ask a roomful of wives who've been cheated on and I'll bet you get those answers.

and will recognize it for what it is, desperation. Besides, everybody in the country, not to mention the world, is intimately familiar with Hillary's husband's transgressions. There's no need to even bring the subject up . It's just there.

Now the donations and tax returns are issues since influence could be had that way in regards to her campaign. But I don't think Bill's escapades necessarily hurt her..

16. Nobody gives a fuck, nor should they. If Obama followed up I'd be dissapointed.
This was the biggest bunch of bullshit to ever hit the US government. If every President who was ever given a blowjob (of both parties) was impeached I dare say there might have been several Presidents in our history who were NOT impeached (and true they would all be Republicans because they are the most likely ones to have disdain for our humanity and the fleshy aspects of being a human).

Sex between two consulting adults should never ever be anyone elses business.

17. I guess you missed the years of media trashing the Clintons?
Haven't they suffered enough for that? In case you don't remember, the press helped pass the lies that the Clintons decorated the WH Christmas with condoms, that Bill molested his daughter, that the Clintons murdered someone, yada yada yada. The barrage was outrageous and un-American.

Let it rest. Have some decency.

Wasn't it Russert who asked her about it during her debate with Lazio in 2000? If I recall correctly, she said Bill misled her, and she came off looking like a strong but wronged wife.

26. Hey look! A dead horse! Let's go beat it!
There are many reasons Obama will not bring up the Lewinsky scandal:

1. Why would he bring up a particularly bad period for Democrats? We were sick of hearing about it years ago. And don't like to hear our democrats sound like Republicans. (Hillary - you might want to make note of that last sentence.)

2. Obama is too smart and good to make that an issue or even bring it up. And that's why we love him.

3. In many people's mind, including mine, it doesn't say anything negative about Hillary. It was Bill's mistake alone. Period. No one has the right to judge her for her decisions and handling of the situation. And the interworkings of their marriage is none of anyone's concern.

4. It's a non-issue. It's over and done and has been BEATEN TO DEATH 100 times over.

5. There's so much more material to work with. Better material. Way better than a worn-out tired old sex scandal that people stopped caring about nearly a decade ago. In fact, if she keeps giving everyone the material they've gotten over the past week or so, I think she'll wrap up her campaign in a matter of weeks. Maybe. Hopefully. But that's another post.

29. I used to be a HUGE Bill Clinton supporter, but...
but the more I've thought about it over the years, it's not just that he had an affair. I'm a grown up - I can deal with that. And I'll freely admit that the members of his administration were mostly top notch, and that we had great years under his leadership. He did the JOB fantastically.

My issue is that he was involved in the seduction of a White House intern, and had sexual relations INSIDE The White House, involving cigars, etc. Then he LIED to his entire staff, many of whom felt betrayed, and then LIED to the American public. We the people own that White House. If he did that in my home, I would kick him out.

During those days, I remember how much I backed him and was outraged that the thoughts of impeachment were even swirling around. He was MY GUY, after all.

What does this have to do with Hillary? Probably nothing (although I'd hide the cute White House interns).

I've personally never understood people who stay with spouses after continued infidelity. Maybe they have an open marriage, which, as a liberal, I'm actually fine with. Maybe there is a judgment question - maybe I'm just getting old...
