The real reasons behind Recycling Wrightgate and Judasgate

The Clinton campaign's most immediate worries for survival are 1) Superdelegate stampede and 2) Donors stopping their small contributinons.


This explains the actions by the campaign over the last few days.

1)Super Delegates - Judasgate

Pit Bull James Carvelle is sent out to 'brand' any superdelegate who leaves the Clinton family as a Judas. What he said was not an accident and if you didn't get it the first time they sent him out to say it again and again. This was not a mistake and it was not done in the heat of the battle. There are alot of elected superdelegates who jumped on the Clinton bandwagon in May of last year and now find themselves in districts or states where Obama has won a huge majority. One or two of those folks leave (especially if they are from New York) and it will be perceived that the Clinton campaign is faltering and there will be a rush for the exits.

2) Money - Recycling Wrightgate - Getting Tough on Snipergate

Hillary is going to get more confrontational - On Bosnia and Rev. Wright. If her daily contributions are sagging then she will come out swinging personally. It doesn't matter if she slips in the polls, because if she slips in her daily dollar amount the campaign is over. They are spending a million a day and Obama is spending more buying media and keeping the pressure on. Polls once showing her way ahead are now slipping and she cannot compete if she doesn't have money. When she is seen by her supporters as a fighter seh does better in getting internet contributions. Watch for Hillary to try and pick a fight.
