"I'm always proud of Wal-mart and what we do and the way we do it better than anybody else"-Hillary at a 1990 Stock Holder's meeting.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnMZRvzcQwwUnder Hillary Clinton's watch, Wal-mart regularly discriminated against women.
Under Hillary Clinton's watch, Wal-mart misled people into believing they were buying "American", when in fact, MOST of Wal-mart's products came from foreign countries. She said in 1991 at a press conference launching the "Buy America" fiasco, that people should shop at Wal-mart and "buy America" to create "American jobs". I guess she felt that Americans spending their money at Wal-mart in exchange for low paying, non union jobs with no benefits which, if you were a woman and/or minority, regularly discriminated against you was a fair trade off for America. Making Wal-mart shareholders richer by importing a bunch of cheap product from Bangladesh and treating poor workers like trash works for America.
Under Hillary Clinton's watch, Wal-mart regularly imported products from factories in Bangladesh that employed 11 and 12 year old workers.
Under Hillary Clinton's watch, Wal-mart sold products with false "Made in America" tags/signs. She later claimed that she didn't know that was happening. Now, as a board member, she DID know or she SHOULD HAVE known that her company was selling items in thousands of stores with illegal "Made in America" tags/signs on them. Is this how she will run things if she gets in office? Deny, deny, deny knowing anything that she should have known. Is this the same sort of denial she had regarding her IWR vote? Deny, deny, deny. Is this the same denial she had regarding her early support of NAFTA? Is she just naturally gifted at lying and denying responsibility for her mistakes?
Does anyone REALLY question whether Hillary Clinton supported NAFTA and whether she still does? Really? Hillary Clinton talks about installing a trade board to monitor and review trade agreements. She even talks about a moratorium on certain trade agreements until they can be renegotiated to include environmental protections, labor protections, etc. Do you think Wal-Mart will be happy about this? Wal-Mart imports Billions of dollars worth of product each year. Will they be able to import items that cost 0.18 to manufacture and sell that same item for $14.00 here in the U.S.A. with those sort of "constraints" on their exploitation of foreign workers? They exploit American workers, so there is no doubt they can't be happy with Hillary's rhetoric. But despite that, The Walmart Foundation found it within its hear to donate $500,000 to Bill Clinton's Global Community Initiative University this month.
NEW ORLEANS, March 15 PRNewswire-FirstCall The Wal-Mart Foundation today awarded a $500,000 grant to Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) commitment-makers at its inaugural meeting at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/080315/clsa001.html?.v=43This is the same company that only donated $6,000 to its own company's employee emergency fund when they employees contributed 5 million dollars.
Hillary was a board member for Wal-mart who was fined 11 million dollars for exploiting illegal workers, employs surveillance measures against its own employees to prevent union organizing, a company that has drawn more than 1 Billion dollars in corporate welfare, a company that has been cited and fined millions for environmental violations, who pays the average sales clerk around $13,000 a year, well under the poverty line, over 50% of Wal-mart's employees are on Medicaid. The WALTON FAMILY received a federal tax cut of: $91,500.00 per HOUR in the 2004 tax year.
http://www.walmartmovie.com/facts.phpHillary Clinton Doesn't Like Wal-Mart All of a SuddenClinton served on Wal-Mart’s board for six years prior to her husband’s run for the presidency. She recently received $5,000 from Wal-Mart... it speaks to the incumbent’s close ties to abusive corporate power: her large corporate financial contributions,
her support for so-called “free trade” (which is simply trade to benefit corporations) and her unwillingness to confront corporate power that denies every American, among other things, universal health insurance.
...Clinton, having never said a bad word about the company in the past, recently said that Wal-Mart should pay more for its workers’ health benefits. And, to boot, she returned the $5,000 she had received from the company. But, when asked what she did about the company’s benefits for workers when she served on the board, she replied,
“Well, you know, I, that was a long time ago ... have to remember…” http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0207-34.htm sourcing The Huffington Post
There goes that denial thing again. Just deny, deny, deny.Clinton Supporter Andrew Young Chair of Wal-mart backed "Working Families for Wal-Mart" group that misleads people into thinking that it is some sort of grassroots organization that supports Wal-Mart when it is nothing more than a shell for Wal-Mart's Board of Directors to Squash Public DissentOn February 27, 2006, former ambassador Andrew Young assumed duties as "the public spokesman for a group organized with backing from Wal-Mart Stores Inc. that defends the world's largest retailer against mounting attacks from its critics," according to Associated Press business writer Marcus Kabel's article. In a telephone interview, he told Kabel that he is not being paid but that the organization that he currently heads, GoodWorks International, has a contract from Working Families for Wal-Mart for consulting work. GoodWorks pairs corporations and governments on global issues. Working Families for Wal-Mart declined to disclose how much Wal-Mart contributes or what it is paying GoodWorks.
Young, a former labor organizer, parts ways with unions regarding Wal-Mart. "The union position is talking about the redistribution of wealth, but they're not talking about generating new wealth. Wal-Mart is generating new wealth when it comes in. The pluses outweigh the minuses. They do give benefits, they do have health insurance."

http://www.usatoday.com/money/companies/2006-03-15-young-walmart-usat_x.htm Andrew Young is the same man who said that Bill Clinton "is every bit as black as Barack" and that "Bill has probably gone with more black women than Barack". Watch him tell the tallest tale about Bill doing the moonwalk down a "soul train line" and how Hillary hiked up her skirt and got low (no joke, he actually said this) If Andrew Young can sell Wal-Mart to poor people, then there is no doubt he has no problem selling Hillary as well. Look here ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=do4GWkQx32AHillary hasn't changed. She is still the same lying, corporate snob she has always been. Now she wants to force poor people to purchase INSURANCE from INSURANCE COMPANIES, but while she was on the BOARD of Wal-Mart, she never pressed to cover all employees under a health plan. Not two years after she stepped down from the board at Wal-Mart, she was in the WH failing at getting universal health care. What about the year before while she was at Wal-Mart? Couldn't she have pushed for something there, one of America's largest employers?
Of course she loved NAFTA and still does, regardless of what she says. Hey, Hillary, I guess it takes a village to raise an 11 year old child in Bangladesh to work in a sweat shop factory for Wal-Mart billionaires!
She will say and do anything to reach the top. She is ONE BIG CONTRADICTION AFTER ANOTHER!
