If Hillary had divorced Bill in 1998 or 1999, would she be a candidate today?

When your entire "experience" claim is based on being married to the President and that marriage - without question - is what has propelled you into the position of power you hold today, aren't the facts surrounding the marriage an issue?

I mean, if you found out that behind closed doors, Hillary said, "I'm going to stand by you on this, but I expect x, y, and z from you as a result, wouldn't that matter?"

From a political standpoint, Monica is the single greatest thing that ever happened to Hillary. It made her sympathetic for the first time in her public life. So, how can it not matter?

You can believe that cheating on your wife is not an impeachable offense (it wasn't). However, the argument that the affair is a completely private matter is not acceptable in the sense that it provided the catalyst for Hillary's personal political career. It would be like saying that Ted Kennedy's family history is irrelevant. Or John McCain's marriage to a rich woman who was able to bankroll is public life is irrelevant.

How you got to where you are is completely relevant when you are a public figure.
