The Hits Just Keep On Coming - Missouri-McSame-53% -Obama 38% /McSame 50% -Clinton 41%
Edited on Wed Mar-26-08 09:43 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
John McCain has opened a significant lead over both potential Democratic opponents in the state of Missouri. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds John McCain leading Hillary Clinton by nine percentage points, 50% to 41%. He leads Barack Obama by an even larger margin, 53% to 38%.

Leave it to the Democrats to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory...If they blow this election they should find another country...

2. BS
There's no way I'll believe a poll like that. I'd like to see how the questions were worded.

3. The polls will continue that way UNTIL we have a nominee.
Once we have a nominee (Obama), then those numbers will change.

4. Perhaps if Hillary would stop blasting Obama...
and take some rhetorical shots at McCain, the numbers would look better.

5. Remember that McCain is fighting us while we fight one another
Those numbers should turn once we select a nominee. However, the numbers should give everyone motivation to realize we haven't won a damn thing yet.

6. Living in Missouri, and knowing the state's political climate, I have to call bullshit on this one
This is a state that would rather elect a dead skunk than vote for Hillary, and this applies to Democrats, Republicans and independents. Obama has a much better chance of winning this state than Hillary does.

7. The Point Is They Are Both LOSING A Swing State
The fact that you want to turn it into some Clinton-Obama grudge thing is the reason they are both losing..

16. I Am Doing My Best To Ignore The Grudge Match
But it should be empirically obvious to anyone that Obama can't win with 64% of Democratic votes and Hillary can't win with 76% of Democratic votes...

A little ignored fact is that there are more McCainocrats than Obamicans...

Folks who substitute feelings for facts do so at their peril... See the Bush* administration...

At the end of the day the only solution might be to have both on the ticket or neither on the ticket as frought with peril that might be...

The only other hope is that McCain implodes... He does seem to be showing his age...

Yes, the focus is on us, because WE don't have a candidate yet

That should change after our nominee is chosen

I really think the problem is because we don't have a nominee yet

That will change

18. Big surprise, the democratic campaigns are too busy tearing each other apart.
I always wondered why democrats were so pissed off at their own party. They waste so much time eating their own.

I control Hillary Clinton and the fortunes of the Democratic party and the republic...I'm that powerful...

Actually, this internecine warfare is going to result in a McSame victory...

It's not my fault... I report the news...I don't , obviously, make it...

29. You Miss The Point Of The Thread
Here's the problem... It doesn't matter what I think... There are a lot of rank and file Democrats who will not vote for either Obama or Clinton...

This election has 1968 and to a lesser degree 1980 written all over it...

25. This sort of stuff is assinine. The GE is eons away and we don't have our Dem nominee yet.
Just meaningless at this point. The shine is going to come off McCain in big greasy chunks once Obama secures the nomination and can fight just one front not two. The sooner Hillary drops out the sooner that will start to happen.

He has an agenda, and he is not to be trusted.

His polls do not exist as far as I am concerned.
