Bury the Hatchet?
Let me preface this by saying that I really don't like Clinton. She is playing dirty pool, and perhaps the one benefit of all of this is that if Obama does become the candidate, most of these controversies she's digging up in her Kitchen Sink approach will be old and boring by the time McCain will try and pick them up.

However... it bothers me that there are so many supporters from either side that actually say they'd rather vote McCain than for the other Democrat. I've even hinted that I might do this, and still believe that a Clinton primary victory is going to alienate a lot more people for a lot longer...

but, really, this was short sighted and selfish of me.

At the end of the day, it's more important that we take whatever steps we can muster now. Waiting another 4 years is no longer an option.

I've decided I'm going to swallow my pride; if it is Clinton, so be it. I don't think she's right for the country, and her behavior in this campaign proves it to me... but we just can't deal with McCain and status quo.

1. No matter how I feel
I will vote, and I will NOT vote for McCain.

Having said that, may the candidate with the most votes win!

2. I will vote Dem, no matter. But, I think it is time for Obama to act...
as though Hillary is no longer in the race and start bringing out more of his ideas for the future. I know he's tried it, but he needs to be more obvious about it. It's "Hillary who?" time for him.

The longer this goes, the more exhausted McCain is going to be. He's already showing it in his stature and his comments. I'm the same age and I know I couldn't handle all that traveling and attention to every word I said. I would be surprised if he can make it the full route. They might have to call in Jeb to finish the campaign.

What's the old slogan...Go with the devil you know? Something like that.

5. "They might have to call in Jeb to finish the campaign." How the hell...
would that play out? I have imagined that happening, but I don't think that Republicans would be very quick to vote for another Bush anytime soon.

3. Just as you feel that Clinton isn't right for the country...
I feel that Obama isn't, and I feel that strongly. I think an Obama presidency will be a disaster, but not as much of a disaster as a McCain administration. So, I'll vote for him if he's the nominee. That's all he'll get from me, however...my vote. He gets not a penny of my money, or a minute of my time, except the time it takes to vote.

7. I'll one-up you.
I respect your view that he's not right. We're both entitled to our opinion, and I'm done trying to convince people.

But I am so serious about avoiding a Republican this time (and I've voted Republican before)... that I will even give her money if it came to it.

We can't afford 4-yrs of status quo. Too much in the balance and the Dems do not have enough power in the house to counter-balance a republican president.

4. I won't bother to vote because if she steals the primary in an under-handed way
she won't have a chance anyways.

If she actually had a chance I would most likely vote.

9. Not voting at all is half a vote for the other side.
The country is more important. Status quo will sink us.
