22% of Democrats Want Clinton to Drop Out; 22% Say Obama Should Withdraw
Twenty-two percent (22%) of Democratic voters nationwide say that Hillary Clinton should drop out of the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination. However, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that an identical number—22%--say that Barack Obama should drop out.

4. I Have Been Following Politics Closely Since 1968 When I Was A Kid
Eerily this election reminds me most of that year... 1968 and 1980...

10. It does feel like 68!
Hopefully there won't be any rioting in the streets at the convention...!

Of course, the geezers, who make up a good chunk of the protests these days, might not be motivated to do any headbanging in the mile-high city. And it's hard to headbang carrying an oxygen tank, though it might make a good weapon.

17. It's still our baby, only it's our grandbaby now!
It's those College Republicans who are sneering at the older protesters nowadays. They're too "cool" to worry about "the volunteers."

8. Correction...the wounds have been self-inflicted, the opponents have rubbed them to keep
them open and promote sepsis.

15. Obama has not 'wounded' Clinton - she's wounded herself with her lies and kitchen sink

tactics. Overall I think he's been a gentleman. Even the so-called attacks calling out her real position of NAFTA turned out to be true. Criticizing your opponent on their positions is not attacking - it's clarifying the differences. And don't bring up the nonsense Wright stuff - no one can be responsible for what others say and if you look more throughly at what the man has said and done you'll find that he's a lot more than a few snippets quoting a US ambassador about the 'chickens coming home to roost' and the 'god damn america' quote - which has historically been an appropriate sentiment among African Americans and probably still is. I was taking to an AA friend the other day and he says he has been stopped for 'driving while black' recently on his way to a party and was made to lie down on the road with his suit on. He confirmed that this kind of thing is routine. BTW, the man is 51 - not likely to be a gang banger. Obama is right - we need to work on perfecting the union.

19. Obama/Gore, perhaps.
I see no reason for Obama to relinquish his imminent primary victory he's earned.

9. This doesn't make sense.
Why would ANY Dems think Obama should drop out? Does it have anything to do with that survey saying that about 18% of Dems would not vote for an AA as president?

Are those who think Clinton should drop out saying that because she has a 5% chance of winning?

13. What.... this? ¯\(º_o)/¯
I thought it was this:

Clever little old school thing, that!!

I don't think either one should drop out. The whiners who are tearing their clothes and crying "DIVISIVE!!" are doing it in SUPPORT of their candidate. Believe me, if Clinton and Obama held a joint news conference, and said, "We're gonna end this NOW" and one of them dropped out, the only ones who would be "happy" about that are the supporters of the one who DIDN'T drop out. The rest of the crew would be bullshit. And they'd STAY bullshit.

We have to wait until the states have their say. If it goes to the convention, so be it.

Maybe this is an argument for front-loaded primaries, or a tighter primary season. This COULD have been all over by March if we could have gotten with the GOP and have scheduled it that way.
