Hillary's pastor speaks out on Wright
http://www.foundryumc.org/pdfs/Statement%20concerning%20Rev.%20Jeremiah%20Wright.pdf

The Reverend Jeremiah Wright is an outstanding church leader whom I have heard speak a number of times. He has served for decades as a profound voice for justice and inclusion in our society. He has been a vocal critic of the racism, sexism and homophobia which still tarnish the American dream. To evaluate his dynamic ministry on the basis of two or three sound bites does a grave injustice to Dr. Wright, the members of his congregation, and the African-American church which has been the spiritual refuge of a people that has suffered from discrimination, disadvantage, and violence. Dr. Wright, a member of an integrated denomination, has been an agent of racial reconciliation while proclaiming perceptions and truths uncomfortable for some white people to hear. Those of us who are white Americans would do well to listen carefully to Dr. Wright rather than to use a few of his quotes to polarize. This is a critical time in America's history as we seek to repent of our racism. No matter which candidates prevail, let us use this time to listen again to one another and not to distort one another's truth.

Dean J. Snyder, Senior Minister
Foundry United Methodist Church

1. The real sin is that 8000 reputations have been sullied because of some YouTube clips
But that's modern life.

2. Most pastors would say this, unfortunately
it isn't the pastors of the country Obama has to placate. It is mainstream Democratic voters who just didn't like the "God Damn America" statement and other things Wright said. And that is that.

8. Then don't vote for Wright.
It seems easy, now let's watch you twist logic to show that Wright's running.

Do you really think you can keep talking about Jeremiah Wright through June? Is that, after all that's said and done, your BEST argument for Hillary's election?

Pathetic. Enjoy your pyrrhic loss.

9. Agreed, but this pastor's statement should certainly give Hillary pause.
In fact, she's probably so disgusted by his defense of Wright, that maybe she should consider leaving her own church. :-)

5. Not technically Hillary's Pastor
He got that position in 2002, and Hillary went to that Church while Bill was President. His words are good though.

10. We should send this statement far and wide to dispel the ugly 'reconstruction' of
Wright. I am not a religious person but I have made a point of listening to more than a few snippets of his sermons and if Wright was a pastor of a church near me I just might get religion. He's a phenomenal man and we need to rehabilitate him and counter the Hillary/MSM destruction of this wonderful man.
