What would we think of him?

"The African-centered point of view does not assume superiority, nor does it assume separatism. It assumes Africans speaking for themselves as subjects in history, not objects in history."

"All of God's children white, black, red, yellow, male, female, all together".

"Where governments lie, God does not lie. Where governments change, God does not change."

Does this sound like a racist? The point is, cherry picking segments of Rev. Wright's sermons and broadcasting them over and over again gives us no truer a picture of the man than the above quotes do. It's easy to condemn -- or even praise -- people when their words are taken out of context. But unless and until you know the WHOLE person and everything he or she believes in and stands for, you have no right to call him an asshole, a racist or anything else.
