Should I complain to my chain of command?

1. From what I've read, the war was over for six months by that point...

3. That was what the chain of command told me
I didn't even get the National Defense Ribbon for my Bosnia tour.

Apparently
by the way... when they had to do that emergency landing last summer in Afghanistan, those three US Senators were in more danger... and I have yet to see any of them come out and regale us with war stories

Then again two of them were actual trigger pullers at one point

I guess they know why you don't do that

4. The knowledge that you help protect the first lady while she was under sniper fire should be enough

5. Well, in fairness, I did

The interior guard's job is to preserve order, enforce regulations, and protect lives and property, and frankly we did a pretty damn good job. So good, in fact, that as far as we could tell our post wasn't actually terribly dangerous at that point (threatcon charlie the whole time I was there).

I guess it's just bizarre to me: Senator Clinton (then-first-lady Clinton) made an historic and very important journey to Bosnia that was crucial for troop morale and the diplomatic situation. I honor and respect that. But it irks me to no end that she would make up shit about what actually went on there.
