Shouldn't we have a more orderly flow of Primarys?
We have a whole bunch of em and then an incredible lull before the next ones. I suggest four, maybe eight regional primaries done in a mutually agreed upon period of time - (January to April?), (March to June?) This meandering of primarys aggravates my need for order.

1. I've always felt they should be held on the same day...
It would save so much jockeying for position, and it would make certain that everyone voted their conscience, instead of some ridiculous mathematical and psychological mind fucking.

2. I believe
the state's would take their ball and go home if some semblance of order or fairness were proposed.

4. I disagree, candidates can't campaign everywhere at once. Your way would be a name recognition poll

13. You are assigning old thought/ways to new
Of course the campaign strategies would need to change too~! Five or six months of hashing it all out, traveling about, etc., then we vote.

I live in California... we rarely see campaigning on a "people's" level. I've seen maybe two ads on TV... and the meet-ups are all about getting money from the wealthy... not getting votes from the people. Yet California is very liberal, very progressive, and always BLUE! Forget about our "Governator"... a bunch of idiots thought they were electing a super hero... :eyes:

12. I think we should do away...
with Primary's all together. I think we should just have a national election with every one who wants to run being on one ballot. Everyone would save a ton of money from all that campaigning. We could make our choices based on commercials and sound bytes. Nothing different there.

It's like they want people on airplanes for long periods of time or something.

Regional primaries start in Feb..

closed primaries(or caucuses).. no new registration after Dec31 ..before the dog & pony shows..

It's all over by July..

9. Agreed. There are plenty of ways to make it more orderly..
Also - throw out caucuses. Full state, Democratic-only primaries.

14. I've always wondered what the current schedule is based on.
Is it based on the age of horse and carriage, trains, or airplanes?

IMO, we should have 2 or 3 primaries per week, every week. Or have 5 regional super-tuesdays spread out over 2 months.

the current clusterfuck is based on the selfishness of some states.
