So-called progressive Sen. Clinton disrespects self... puts "Hillary" on her campaign signs.
I have heard Sen. Clinton refer to her two "male" opponents by their last names. But when she refers to herself in her campaign materials she calls herself "Hillary."

The Evidence:

I count no fewer than 10 campaign signs that refer to the Senator from New York as "Hillary." I can't believe the level of disrespect that this so-called progressive gives herself. She should be ashamed. This is something that Obama and Clinton supporters can agree upon. As evidenced here:

We should condemn this so-called-progressive. How dare Sen. Clinton disrespect a woman of her stature. Join with me in condemning her.

1. The three post limit is the maximum allowed.
You are not required to post whatever you pull from your ass to make sure you use all three posts.

6. This has bothered me for a while
She runs as "Our gal, Hillary," and then pouts about sexism?

The only man I can think of who's done anything similar is Aaah-nold, and that's probably because his last name's a mile long.

12. ""I'll vote for McCain just to do anything I can to try to keep Obama out of the WH"
Says the OP of the post you linked. I wouldn't take much seriously from that one. I'm surprised they can type with webbed fingers.

16. Right. Anyone who disagrees with you must be a mutant.
Either that or s/he is afraid of flunking an ideological purity test.

Defend them if YOU want to, but I won't.

20. In all seriousness, I never understood why she opted to do this.
From what I think I read, she started using her first name in campaign material when she ran for Senator.

This boggled my mind as I don't ever recall any candidates (at least here in my area) ever having used their first names rather than last name on campaign regalia. Perhaps the bigger question to ask is did she do this to distance herself from her marriage name (and thus husband's name and legacy) or was it done to be "different" and break with "tradition"? Although "catchy", it seems to be a double-edged sword and tends to negate any cries of sexism on the part of this candidate who chose to highlight her gender, not only on the campaign trail with her comments, but also on her campaign advertising material.

21. She can advertise herself however she wants.
I see lots of male candidates in my area choosing to use their first name in large print on their signs. It's completely a marketing decision. Has nothing to do with respect or disrespect whether she uses her first name or not. It's not even a male/female issue.
