I got a call from a guy organizing it for my area. I am not very comfortable knocking on doors but I may help just go out and do it for our guy.

It's funny because the guy was just cold calling pepole and me being the sad, no life news junkie/Obama fact finder that I am was able to educate him on a few things about Obama. :)

13. Doors are fun if you don't waste time on non-supporters. There's nothing worse than

arguing with someone on their doorstep so watch out for passive agressive brain-suckers.

Find the Obama supporters and the undecideds and put your energy there. And of course that's what you are all about. And any Hill supporters you meet, say something nice about Hill or something to do some healing.

Have fun. That's the secret of the doors. And eye contact.

8. If you get a chance to see his NC speech today it was so smart

taking questions really shows how facile his mind is he would take a simple question and tie it into systemic problems not only her but world wide.

He took a question about companies using temporary workers and explained how it is a strategy for companies to fight in the global economy.

That the problems affected pollution standards in the other country and health care here - if there was a good health care system there would be less incentive to keep employees on a temporary basis. And then on to how union building is good for everyone.

It was a stunning tour de force

And then answering a question about his Christian faith he included a line about how his mother was the kindest person he ever knew.

We have had smart presidents before and we have had compassionate presidents before but we have never had one that demonstrated so much brain and such a big heart before.

I think it was in PA. He is very engaging, and when he answers a question he takes the time to respond to the person asking the question, before he ties it into policy.
