There's so much fucking vitriol and unfair attacks on both of our candidates, BOTH of which are good Dems, that this forum has just gotten to be disgusting to even navigate most of the time. Thread after thread of unfair feigned outrage bullshit attacks that serve to decimate our Dems with the same level of conviction that we've always seen on freeperville and elsewhere. It's no damn different.

Some try and post some good things, but overall this forum is run amok with immaturity, ignorance and unfair vitriol thrown at our good candidates, both of which WE SHOULD BE PROUD.

I think that's what's been hittin me these past few days and why I haven't posted much lately. I miss GD. I browsed there last night and realized "holy shit, there's still a WHOLE WORLD out there outside of the primaries". I've been totally oblivious to so many other things that have gone on, because GDP just sucks you in to it's filth and it's hard to crawl out. But it's gone too far. 1/2 of the threads I read I feel the need to post "Fuck you ya stupid flamebaiting piece of shit", but I know I can't. So why even subject myself to it? lol

All it has become is each side trying to decimate the other, by way of completely trying to run their candidate through the mud. These are two great democrats we've got here, and there's only so much I can take of reading the stupid shit. It's literally almost like joining up at freerepublic, but being allowed to post. It would just be constant comment after comment towards a bunch of childish morons that you can't get anywhere with logically. Isn't that practically what it's become here? I didn't join DU so that I could take on freerepublic. I joined DU because we're full of Democrats. GDP doesn't look like a forum filled with democrats. It looks like a forum filled with a bunch of assholes that some of us try and fight against, but have no chance in winning against. So I'm revoking my membership from GD:Freeperville, and re-entering the world of GD:Democrats. :o)

After my wife died, and after the ways you all reached out to me and me to you, I stayed away for awhile. I promised myself that when I came back, I wouldn't be the same ole OMC of old, and though I knew I'd still be a snarky wiseass, since I'm damn good at it lol, that I would try and temper myself and choose when and where more carefully. But then GDP came to life, and I thought "ahhhh, it's ok to do shit like that in here. We're ALL assholes in here! LOL", and that's what sucked me in. But I don't wanna totally go back to overall being the same OMC I was prior to my wife's passing, even though in GDP I have been. But I almost feel like GDP doesn't count. But I want to join GD again, the Lounge again, and be able to be a bit more real again, even if I'd still be a wiseass at times. I just don't like feeling like the same old OMC again, like things had been prior to everything. I love most of you all too much now to be the enemy like I once was. But in GDP, like I said, I haven't worried about it much. I don't know half of the posters here I fight against and I couldn't care less if some of the more vitriolic violators like me or not lol. I have been on the side of losing candidates. I empathize with your current status of having to continue to soldier on for a candidate who can not accept her defeat and who now requires her supporters to lower themselves beneath their own standards to defend her.

Hillary and Bill have lost. They are setting themselves up a great embarrassment as the heavy-weights like President Carter and Vice President Al Gore and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and a host of others rebuke them publicly for this nonsense.

She lost. She's 60 and that means that this was her last chance. It didn't work out. That's a very hard pill to swallow considering it was her life-long ambition, but compared to the victims of Katrina and the war in Iraq and those losing their home, the Clintons will do just fine. They lost a contest. They need to accept it and quit destroying the party.

I'm glad you are here. I honor your support of Hillary and your loyalty to her. That's a rare thing this day and age. But don't sully your own reputation, you good name for a lost cause. The tactics of the Clintons are the worst thing I've seen within Democratic internal politics in my very long life. They are ruining any legacy they may have had. They need to quit.

As much as Obama's supporters want to delineate the differences between the two candidates, there is not that much that separates them on the big issues in my eyes -- with the exception of Barack's refusal of lobbyist money and his 2 million small donor base.
