I want to see what our DU voting population is made up of, using the demographics most often analyzed in polls and exit polls. I'm using some stereotypes, and I apologize to non-whites, because your minority groups are rarely analyzed any further than that.

It doesn't matter if we are women,seniors,young,old -- for some odd reason we are African American at the voting booth.

We're the ones that had to fight every election to have our votes count. The ones that have small polling places that are hard to find.

The ones that Ohio decided to forget, and what about Florida?

We are the soul of the party and yet ~ we have never had a real Black President,VP.

And now,when Obama is running, some have the nerve to say we are only voting for him because he is Black. Some say we are racists. :mad:

How does that sound! We have only been voting for any of the Presidents because they are White for all these years and now we are taking the opportunity to vote for Barack ~ he is really 1/2 Black but in America that means he is Black.

Don't even get me started on the rural/urban split. The city of Seattle basically funds the whole of Washington state (we get back less than $1 per tax dollar, while some areas get more than $8) yet we are constantly being abused as not knowing anything about the rest of the states.

Mostly white, except for that pesky native strain I got from my grandfather. I also have an unknown grandfather; a couple of scottish surnames have been tossed around, but no one ever met the man (except my grandmother, of course,) and the names she vaguely let drop may or may not have any basis in reality, since she was institutionalized for life with schizophrenia when the rest of her family caught up with her and her child.

The white part is REALLY white: german and english. I have a native chin, (or so I was told by a native friend,) and a native body build. A typical german blonde/gray blue-eyed fair-skinned coloring, even though my parents were both dark-haired and brown-eyed.

Limbo: The only college grad from a solid background of blue-collar workers. One foot in the blue-collar camp, one foot in the white. Caught in between, not really fitting in either.

An educator, which makes sense in a bizarre kind of way; I sure wouldn't want to rise out of the blue-collar working class just because I hold a sort-of-cream-colored collar job.

I am an alien of the legal kind from the boot-shaped land of Italia. I drink cappuccino and by latte I assume you refer to caffe` latte which is milk and coffee, which I also like. While I am prevented from voting as I am not a U.S. citizen, I am a Hillary Clinton supporter. However, I will gladly throw my support behind the Democratic nominee. I think that either Sen. Clinton or Sen. Obama would be a terrific choice to take this country forward.
