Pair picks - I see Obama-Richardson

Seems like a nice duo. They photographed well together the other day. He would appeal to latinos and husky people, foreign policy experience, has a "real guy" characteristic.

McCain-Lieberman? Is Maverick John McCain going to ride some Joementum? The Judeo Christian war twin ticket? Was Zell Miller busy?

McCain-Rice? That would make everyone think twice. I've always thought a black lesbian would have great underdog appeal, but there is nothing admirable that she has ever done. Can't put lipstick on that pig; she's the ultimate soulless corporate borg.

The middle school teacher, son of an American father and a Nicaraguan mother, was part of a supposed swing of conservative Latino voters to the Democratic Party, motivated by the GOP's association with a hard-line immigration stance.

Malloy had grown "so disgusted" with anti-illegal-immigration measures in his home state of Virginia that last year, he made his first-ever political contribution to a candidate, Democrat John Edwards. This month, he even voted for Sen. Hillary Clinton in the Virginia primary. Now, with Sen. John McCain the expected Republican nominee, Malloy says that his decision to turn his back on the GOP could change.

For all the talk about how hard it will be for conservatives to support McCain in the general election, conservative Latino voters have no such qualms. To them, McCain represents the best of all candidates when it comes to immigration.

Why soil the Obama movement with an old school crustecean? He has his appeal but he's arrogant. Always talking about "Joe Biden" like Bob Dole referred to himself in the third person. He fits more with Hillary's entrenched political machine.

I wavered on this just a bit after the great endorsement, but there are too many problems with Bill (which I and others have mentioned before). I really think he needs a military person, pretty badly against McSame. JMHO.

I should have bookmarked it. I think not only would Richardson help in that respect, where McCain is strong, he also brings foreign relation experience and he has executive experience. Drop a few pounds and lose the beard and he is in.( remember this is America, we need a marketable aesthetically pleasing product) Otherwise go with Biden who out performs McCain on all fronts, foreign affairs especially. Could you see a McCain/Rice versus Obama/Biden, he would eat her alive in VP debates! Who picks VP first, them or us?

i didn't think i would. but Richardson is doing a great job of defending Obama and they looked great together on stage. a truly historic ticket.

other options for Obama could be a woman.

i like Richardson, but I don't think he would be a wise choice, for reasons others have mentioned. (And I don't mean his girth. What's wrong with a tubby VP?) Obama is going to have to go white male, preferably southern, and preferably military. Which spells Webb to me.
