Hillary Announces "A Credentials Fight" In Denver - Every Republicans Dream

Hillary Announces Credentials Fight

Floor Fight, Here We Come

Last night, Greta van Susteren interviewed Hillary Clinton on Fox News. This was the most interesting exchange:

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives2/2008/03/020143.php

VAN SUSTEREN: And if he says, no, I won't do it, that leaves Michigan and Florida out. And does that leave you out?

CLINTON: No. Not at all, because we are going to make sure those votes get counted, one way or another.

VAN SUSTEREN: How?

CLINTON: Well, you know, you can always go to the convention. That is what credential fights are for. You know, let's have the Democratic Party go on record against seating the Michigan and Florida delegations three months before the general election? I don't think that will happen. I think they will be seated. So that is where we are headed if we don't get this worked out.

A credentials battle in Denver! Every Republican's dream! If Hillary is to be believed--always a big "if" where the Clintons are concerned--it may become a reality.

1. It is against DU rules to post links to RW websites.
No matter how bid a fan of them you are.

5. Wrong.
Restrictions on Linking to Other Websites

Do not post messages that give publicity to websites that have little purpose other than to smear, disrupt, or complain about Democratic Underground. Currently there are only three websites that fall into this category. Their addresses are not listed here because we do not wish to give them publicity. They are easily identified by their bizarre obsession with Democratic Underground.

Do not quote or link to bigoted websites, or websites that republish content from bigoted websites. While many of these websites are easily identifiable, some are less obvious at first glance. Please be aware that even some anti-Bush websites also include bigoted content and are therefore not welcome here.

Do not quote or link to "conspiracy theory" websites, except in our September 11 forum, which is the only forum on Democratic Underground where we permit members to debate highly speculative conspiracy theories. A reasonable person should be able to identify a conspiracy theory website without much difficulty.

Members are permitted to link to highly partisan conservative websites, provided that they are doing so in the proper context.

11. Unless the voters take away her bone
A close outcome in PA coupled with decisive Obama wins in NC and Indiana on May 6th may convince enough super delegates to get of their ass and end this dance.

But yea babylonsister, Hillary has lock-jaw.

14. I do agree with that and actually I'm starting to find that I like that trait...
I don't think Hilary would be giving a November 3rd concession speech in the face of blatant voter disenfranchisement and outright fraud. Kerry and Gore... good and polite Dems... both let us down by ceding the field to the Republicans. Clearly, Hilary would not do that... Though I am for Obama... her tenacity and fighting spirit is inspiring.

17. Well, I don't know about that.
What I'm reminded of (exposing my inner nerd) is a character I play in my D&D group. A terribly ineffective character, unable to hit anyone, regularly getting killed off. But when possessed, and forced to fight against other members of the group, he's deadly as hell.

Hillary has shown herself to be a great fighter against other Democrats - while being buddy-buddy with Republicans and turncoats like Lieberman - and she has never really faced any serious competition against Republicans. I'm thinking she may be possessed...

26. Did she "give her word" that the votes wouldn't count?
No. She made an observation that was true at the time.

And nothing she said trumps the rights of voters to have their count.

31. Bullshit.
"You know, it's clear this election they're having isn't going to count for anything." - Hillary Clinton, New Hampshire Public Radio, 10/10/2007

Rules are rules and she's trying to change the rules in the middle of game...simply because she's losing. Period.

of course she would use whatever tools are available to try to win it.

maybe if gore or kerry had had a little more fight in them we wouldnt have had to put up with bush for 8 years.

for the record i am no hillary supporter. also not an obama supporter but given the choice id take him over hillary.

10. Hillary Super-Delegates In Washington State Wavering

Hillary Super-Delegates In Washington State Wavering

By Eric Kleefeld - March 27, 2008, 9:13AM

Some cracks are starting to show in the dedication of Hillary Clinton super-delegates in Washington State, with some fearing that the drawn-out contest would damage the party for the general election.

"I don't think that people want a divisive, explosive convention," said King County Executive Ron Sims, a super-delegate supporting Hillary. "It will radiate defeat."

Another Hillary supporter, Sen. Maria Cantwell, declared earlier this week that "I definitely don’t want the super-delegates to be the deciding factor," and that the party should eventually come together around the candidate who has won the most delegates and most states.

21. ANYBODY willing to fight for Michigan has my vote; ANYBODY who kicks us while we're down doesn't.
I loathed Clinton prior to January 08, but she has won my support for sticking up for Michigan at a time when the Obama people have asked us to crawl into a corner and die...

32. I agree with you. I do not care who I am voting for ... it is morally WRONG what is happening
to MI and FL. I am not biased either. Supers are the only way Hillary has left to win this and I think they are morally wrong. I also find moral flaws in the caucus system and the electoral college. Still, those pale in comparison to entire states not getting a chance to vote because of something their politicians, NOT THEM, did. We still live in a representative democracy, no vote was ever held in MI to decide if they would move up the date. Instead politicians decided FOR the people what would happen to them. If someone should be punished then strip the politicians of their superdelegate votes, do not rob from the American people to prove your point. The punishment then becomes so awful, your "point" is lost in the rubble... and more damage is done to the person administering the punishment than those who receive it... in the long run.
