Weeks after Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign criticized the Texas caucus process and raised the possibility of a legal challenge, top advisers on Wednesday praised organizers and predicted a better-than-expected delegate count in coming days.
"I think the process is working just like it's supposed to," said Garry Mauro, director of Clinton's campaign efforts in Texas. "You won't see some massive challenge being produced by the Hillary Clinton campaign."
Clinton won the popular vote in the March 4 Texas primary, but there's also a caucus process that doesn't end until the Democratic state convention in Austin this summer. Until then, it's impossible to give an official count of the pledged delegates from Texas.
