DU has lost its purpose, only a trading ground for negative links on Obama/Clinton

This will be my last post on DU. I dont find any value in spending my time reading up on childish, desperate and lonely DU users posting links and spreading lieas about a fellow democrat.

I do like a debate, but people are only interested in posting links that are full of innuensoes, lies and rethoric from an blog or paper, that most likely supports your candidate.

1. The poll posts..They are either in favor of your candidate, or speak ill of the other
2. Links to articles in Huffington, realclearpolitics, washingtonpost, nyt, fox news and some others..
3. Obama supporters does not post their comments or have an serious argument about what they are posting, only throwing out a bone to their fellow Obama fans..Spicing it up with some harsh words on Clinton. Any attempt to debate the issue is futile.
4. Some of the words used to characterize Obama and Clinton is just awful, Obama fans tend to be way more forceful in both numbers and the bullying of the other campaign
5. The sink/blcck posts...It’s not a democratic tradition to close the doors on people that you don’t agree with or that do not support your candidate.

...If the discussion at DU isn't right for you, then look for another board where posters are interested in posting on the topics which, according to your preferences, are appropriate and discussed in an appropriate matter.

There is no need to criticize a board or other posters just because you don't like the topics or the posts.

The rest of the posters, it would be assumed, are content with both topic and content. Otherwise, they would have exercised their right to post elsewhere.

BTW, you might want to look at the title of this subforum: "General Discussion: Primaries." The only primary where there is >1 candidate is the Democratic Party primary, and the two candidates are Obama and Clinton.

It seems kind of unreasonable to go to a forum which is entitled "General Discussion: Primaries" and expect the content to be something other than posts on the election primaries, and it seems especially unreasonable to criticize posters for posting on the primaries in a subforum entitled "General Discussion: Primaries."

As far as the "negative" content...that is a very subjective call. I've seen posts on Hillary Clinton's sniper lie described as "negative," when in reality the poster is only discussing what HRC did.

Anyway, good luck where ever you go. But if you want to discuss the primaries, I doubt you will find anything different on other boards than you see here. If anything, this board (in my experience) is at least pretty on-topic and focused.

Just my opinion...your mileage may vary.

This primary season has been vicious. It seems to me that most of the posts you complain about are limited just to the GDP forum.
