I am done..
I am done fighting over the Democratic Nominee. I used to be really upset with the Obama people on here because they would say horrible things about my candidate Hillary Clinton. Sometimes I was so mad I would vow that I would never vote for Obama and I would vote for McCain instead or not vote at all. After hearing Hillary Speak today in North Carolina she told us that whatever happens do not vote for McCain... It was really stupid idea for me to support a Republican instead of a Democrat just because of my pride. I vow today that I will support, respect, and vote for Barack Obama if he wins the nomination. I won't let the republicans divide our party. We have to win!

7. a lot of people say they wont vote, but i never believe them.
i just figure they are pissed off, still in the denial phase, and come election day, their civic duty will get the best of them. especially anyone who spends a lot of time at du. they are just not gonna sit on the sidelines.
voting for imperfect candidates is part of being a grownup. most of us put the childishness away once the fighting is over.
those that don't, well....

campaign and the senate and congressional campaigns the happier we will all be.

Thank you for your post.

10. Now THAT is what I like to hear!
We need to remember who our REAL opponent is... John McCain cannot be allowed to be elected President. We have to defeat him at the polls, no matter who our candidate is! Both Barack Obama AND Hillary Clinton would make a much better leader for this country!

12. I too will support the nominee, as will almost all of us.
Those claiming otherwise are fools or trolls. Primary season is bitter, and this one is both long and bitter. It cannot be over too soon.

16. Well said...
The more I learn about McCain, the scarier he seems. He's a hothead and has told fellow senators, "Fuck you" and called them "assholes" when they don't agree with him. Sounds like Cheney. And to make matters worse, he's just as much of a war monger as Bush and Cheney, plus he has real military experience so he probably WANTS to use military force. His ignorance on the Sunni/Shi'ite issue makes me really question his competency, just like Bush. He's completely ignorant about how to deal with the Middle East. And of course, he's a flip-flopper on waterboarding, which is unforgivable to me because of his own experience with torture. The worst part is he's flip-flopped twice on this issue in the last couple of months. In 2007, he was against it. Then he voted for it. And 2 weeks later in a 60 Minutes interview, he said he was against it. And the worst part of that is the interviewer did not even call him on his lie/flip-flop. The media gives McCain more of a pass than any other politician out there. If people knew the type of language he has used towards fellow legislators, I don't think everyone would view him as a man of such integrity. The MSM loves him because he holds barbecues for them, treats them nicely for the most part, etc. The Arizona media treats him like a typical politician and he has had plenty of outbursts at them. But of course, the MSM continues to be in the tank for him and never calls him out on anything.

He's also a complete moron on the economy as well, proposing Reaganomics (supply side economics), aka garbage economics where workers (ie the heart and soul of America's economy) get screwed. Real wages don't increase while prices continue increasing with inflation. Doesn't make sense and doesn't trickle down either.

25. It struck me when I got a letter from the NRDC - we can't continue w/the current policies.
The best way to see that the environment and wildlife are cared for is to have a Democratic President.
