22% of Democrats Want Clinton to Drop Out; 22% Say Obama Should Withdraw

Twenty-two percent (22%) of Democratic voters nationwide say that Hillary Clinton should drop out of the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination. However, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that an identical number—22%--say that Barack Obama should drop out.

1. So basically we have an equal amount of hard feelings from both sides?
Hopefully it's nothing our nominee can't fix over 4 months after he/she recieves the nomination.

9. Looks that way, not surprising
The meme of "everyone wants Clinton to drop out" is false, as is most of what we hear from Obama's camp.

46. Also Richardson and by implication Dean and Pelosi...
Since the latter two are on the record against superdelegates overturning the election results.

No, just another spin job trying to make things seem like they're somehow equal.

8. the differnce is
that hillary can't win the nomination. It's mathematically impossible. Her only possible motivation for remaining in the race is to try to ensure a McCain victory in the GE so that she has another shot at the nomination in 2012. Unfortunately, 22% of her supporters join her in valuing hillary's ambitions above country, party and the people.

11. Obama can't win the nomination
for many reasons, not the least of which is his primary losses in big states needed to win the electoral vote.

35. do you understand the word "can't"
and how it applies to delegate math?

Obama has challenges ahead of him, to be sure, but they are far less than Hillary faces in likely having to get 80% of remaining superdelegates.

still think Obama is a Muslim. Even though his Christian minister's inflammatory cherry picked remarks have been on a constant tape loop on cable for two weeks?

Unbelievable how some people base their vitriol on absolute vacuity really.

21. Clue for the terminally clueless:
By every metric, Obama is ahead, and hilly dear is falling further behind in polling. She has virtually no way to catch up with Obama. There's some justification for thinking hilly should drop out. The hillbots who think Obama should are simply delusional.

23. How about they both drop out this summer and we draft Al Gore? Looks like our only hope
to beat McCain. McCain has opened big leads over both, and while his margin will go down by Novemeber, he's right where he wants to be. Gore can change the whole dynamic.

If the polls are what you are going by then take a look at the Gallup snapshot and see if that 22 percent for Obama rings true or hollow.

43. actually, it depends on which poll you look at and which day you look at it.
If one looks at the momentum Obama had developed after super Tuesday and then lost in the last primary battles, I would say the trend is obvious however regardless of what the polls say.
