Ben Smith:
Clinton makes student inroads
Wow! This must be big, right?! Read on:
Politico’s Ben Adler noticed something very interesting today:
Attempting to show inroads in the student vote, which has consistently favored Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton’s campaign included the West Virginia University student body president’s endorsement of Clinton today in their its “HUBdate” blast to reporters. Jason Parsons, the student body president, wrote on the Clinton campaign blog that he supports Clinton for her delivery on bread and butter concerns like the Children’s Health Insurance Program, and her proposal to reduce college debt.
Jason's post is called, "Hillary Will Work for West Virginians," and right now he has 132 comments.
Are you friggin' KIDDING me. A post by a student (where is it written that every college student in the nation supports Obama??) on
Hillary Clinton's campaign blog and we're supposed to be
amazed that it got over a hundred responses that are positive for Clinton?!
I am all for showing both sides, but these two examples are embarassing... what gives today? Was there a recent poll that showed that people no longer think, they just absorb headlines on political blogs and move on?
FWIW - I scrolled through the comments, a whole bunch were about making phone calls for Texas.
Help me out here, because I am lost....
