So is the press going to go after McNuts the same way it went after Obama and his pastor or am I
dreaming?

I had a discussion with my boyfriend and he seems to think that the press is just focusing on Obama and Clinton right now to make it a horserace for ratings. And when its over the press will want a horserace between Obama and McCain so they'll start scrutinizing McCain more. He said ultimately they want Obama to win b/c he will bring in the most ratings if hes president and bring in the most dollars. He also said reporters will want to be apart of that history, that it will be too enticing.

Frankly I'm skeptical. I believe the press won't go after McCain esp after I read the NYTimes piece praising him as the press's version of JFK and a "post modernist" candidate. I think the press CAN really be bought with a busride and a bbq. They are really pathetic.

What do you think?

1. It's the MSM - they're a bunch of clowns with a few bright spots here and there
Unfortunately these clowns tend to help sway public opinion. I think they will stay soft on McLame, he has already received so many passes.

5. you really think McCain is going to bring them money? His presidency will be uber boring.
An Obama presidency would be more exciting.

3. McCain will get respect for his past, if nothing else. Nobody
in the paid advertising media is going to personally insult him. That's just the way it is.

4. I know you're hillary supporters who want Obama to lose so I don't really
believe your and Mads opinions, I'd rather see opinions of Obama supporters.

7. I think that Obama will end up kicking McCain's ass.....via contrast and compare.
Obama will energize the electorate. I think that there is something like 45% who don't vote in this country that could. I believe that it is a matter of him bringing those folks out. A lot of them are minorities and young people. I think that he can get it done, no matter what the press says.

We will have to work hard, but it can be done.

The media doesn't have the same kind of sway that they have had in the past....I don't think, hence, Obama's number dipped a bit and came back up.

It appears that Obama knows how to fight, and it appears that he does it well. Must be the truth that helps him.

8. The MSM votes with its pocketbook. McCain has cable trouble with
Edited on Sat Mar-29-08 03:46 AM by McCamy Taylor
Time-Warner and Disney-ABC because he has tried to regulate them with A La Carte and some other nasty cable laws designed to benefit his blond love bunny and her clients. Since he is now subject to blackmail, I doubt will see CNN or ABC kiss his nether regions--unless Rove brokers a truce.

McClatchy will remain neutral.

Everyone else will serve the interests of the RNC, because they will be promised favors from the McCain FCC, except for GE/NBC which will pimp McCain because they will be promised major Pentagon contracts for doing so.

That is how the MSM will cover the election, Oh, and the NeoCons at the NYT will battle the non-NeoCons which will give them MPD. And since the NeoCons run the show at the WaPo, that paper will be pro-McCain 24-7. And the Tribune under Sam Zell will do whatever FOX does.
