Carville column bashes everyone, defends his Judas remark, will be on CNN tomorrow
to continue his little tirades against Governor Richardson. He gets more airtime than God, and the nastier he acts the more airtime he gets.

From the Washington Post today.

Disloyalty That Merits An Insult

By James Carville

So, when asked on Good Friday about Richardson's rejection of the Clintons, the metaphor was too good to pass by. I compared Richardson to Judas Iscariot. (And Matthew Dowd is right: Had it been the Fourth of July, I probably would have called him Benedict Arnold.)

I believed that Richardson's appointments in Bill Clinton's administration and his longtime personal relationship with both Clintons, combined with his numerous assurances to the Clintons and their supporters that he would never endorse any of Sen. Hillary Clinton's opponents, merited a strong response.

I was fully aware of what kind of response calling someone a Judas would evoke.

Certainly, it didn't take long for the resign-renounce-denounce complex to kick into high gear.

In a bit of bloviation that brought joy to my heart, Bill O'Reilly pronounced himself "appalled."

Keith Olbermann, about two degrees shy of the temperature necessary for self-combustion, quipped, "So if he's Judas in this analogy, who's Jesus?"

And in case you wonder why many superdelegates are not yet moving, perhaps it is fear of retribution in one form or the other.

If Richardson was going to turn on the Clintons the way he did, I see no problem in saying what I said. Because if loyalty is one virtue, another is straight talk. And if Democrats can't handle that, they're going to have a hard time handling a Republican nominee who is seeking the presidency with that as his slogan.

He never backed down from his attacks on Howard Dean right after we won in November 2006. He went further and implied that the Clintons tacitly approved.

And just think, we get to see him on Late Edition tomorrow.

2. Hmmmm, what are the Clinton campaign's polling numbers since he started this shit?
Are they going up?

What? No? You say they're going DOWN?

Keep it up, Carville. Negative looks SO good on you guys. You, jackass.

3. Yes: Beware any superdelegates who endorse Obama
Carville will come out on a 24/7 press tour and smear your ass. So you better just endorse Hillary.

For those of you who may not get it, he's not good for the party in his current tact.

5. This Creep not only looks like a snake
He is one! He is dying that his high position with the Clinton Admn is slipping through his fingers. Everyone should be afraid of the influence he will have with a Clinton Admn since he is fused to that other Snake, his wifey who has her nose up Cheney's ass. This guy is about as scummy as they come. Richardson has more integrity in his little fingernail than this POS has in his whole body.

6. That ugly piece a shit is going to find a lot of people have
"turned on the clintons" as he puts it. What really happened I think is that the clintons became infatuated with wealth and power and turned on those who supported them during their darkest days.

He's nothing but a suckass for the inside the beltway crowd and don't forget, if ya don't turn on "Late Edition" you won't have to see him.

It's only go to help Obama in the end. Carville is too much of a bad memory of the bad things about Clinton.

10. Hillary must have promised Richardson something for his endorsement
I think the betrayal that is expressed here by Carville is because Richardson was most likely promised something in a Clinton administration, and for that they thought that his loyalty was bought. That seems to be the most likely explanation for the venom that they are spewing.

Everyone else does. I have seen worse Clinton bashing on DU than anything else. We can at least be equal opportunity bashers.

13. Carville is making an ass of himself now. I say let him continue.
During the 90s I loved the Clintons, and in most ways was happy with the condition of our country. In the early 2000s after Bush took over, I found myself fondly looking back.

But now the way that campaign is acting is fast turning my previous good thoughts into sad ones. I don't like seeing this side of them.

16. He's always seemed a little unhinged - to put it nicely - but
his reaction to Richardson is disturbing. He literally spit Richardson's name out when Wolf Blitzer was interviewing him, implying Obama promised Richardson something for the endorsement, thus the Judas name. Richardson denied that and also denied the claim he had promised to endorse Hillary.

22. So loyalty is the highest virtue? Where have we heard that before?
That's what got 26 year old anti-abortion Bush loyalists put in high level positions in Iraq.

Chilling projection as to what a Hillary presidency might look like. We've seen this before.

Carville is as big a self promoting clown as Coulter, and just as insincere.

23. It is really sad to see Carville go this way. But good riddance to bad rubbish.
There's a small part of me that honestly will still have fondness for the "Ragin Cajun" but with this latest piece, he only proves that the Democratic Party is better off without him (and his services). Like Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller before him, he is a proponent of the top-down, insider, "my way or the highway" machinery that has plagued the Democratic Party and attempted to depress grassroots organization of average American citizens.

My loyalty is not to a man; it is to the ideals embodied in the Bill of Rights and our nation's Constitution. Anyone who disrespects those ideals and the fundamental tenets of the Democratic Party are unworthy of support or loyalty.

So thanks, James Carville. Thanks for showing us either who you truly are or what you've truly become. We don't need your advice and we don't need you. In the words of the candidate you support, when all is said and done, "we'll be just fine."

24. Apparently Carville and the Clintons
see the Richardson appointments as a one-way street: All about them helping out little Bill Richardson.

I don't suppose Bill Richardson did anything important for them, like bringing a ton of Hispanic supporters to the Clinton camp and keeping his pants on and his nose clean and doing at least an acceptable job while responsible for those departments...

Good help can be hard to find when you treat people like servants.
