Odd the Texas SOS web site isn't posting totals. It would help if they did. Then again, I guess it IS Texas...

12. I'm seeing different numbers
Clinton - 46.21%, Obama - 53.79%

3:50pm Update by Phil - Harris County, Senate District 15 just reported. Huge for Obama -- of the 1,431 in attendance, 1,056 for Obama, and 375 for Clinton. With 217 delegates to split, that means Obama got 160 to 57 over Clinton in Harris County, SD 15.

At this point I don't know up from down, and so I defer to your wisdom as to the accuracy of this data. Apparently, according to others as well as yourself, the results and data are from today... anyway, sorry again for the confusion. Carry on.

Peace out.:hippie:

27. Collin County - Obama country - meets TOMORROW
I'm a Texan. Collin County, which went for Obama, will have it's county caucus TOMORROW because the Democratic party could not find an available venue for today that would accommodate the 3000 participants that are expected. It's a big county and will make a big difference for Obama. I'll be there so maybe, I can beam in the results. :)

Thanks for all of your work on this PerfectSage!

32. Maybe I can help you
If you signed in on the "sign up" sheet on election day - during the precinct caucus, there is a column on the sign in sheet where the precinct chair is supposed to designate if you want to be a delegate or an alternate. Some people, when they sign in accidentally check off that blank.

If you are getting calls/postcards, you may be a delegate or an alternate. The campaign website for your candidate will probably know if you are a delegate b/c it is public information.

Wouldn't you think that she would have used her 8 years of influence in the WH to change the TX hybrid system that she (now) says is so unfair and horrible?? The hybrid system that a CLINTON supporter had hands in creating, BTW. Guess when the TX 2 Step paves your husband's way to the WH, you don't wanna fix what ain't broken....and she didn't deem it broken til SHE lost the TX caucus.

44. Someone please help me to understand these results.
For instance, The precinct site shows Baylor County having 13 delegates, 1 of 4 precincts have reported, Clinton awarded 3 delegates, Obama-0 and 100% in the delegate column.

My questions are 1) How can some precincts report and only one candidate get delegates? Is that saying a whole town voted one way?

2) How can Baylor report 25% of its precincts and 100% of its delegates?

Thanks in advance.

to be "viable", most common is 15%, if one of 2 candidates doesn't get 15%, the other gets 100%.

52. Exactly right -
and some of these areas are low population so that's going to be even fewer delegates. I live in the suburbs of Houston (just south of Harris county in Brazoria) and our precinct had 41 delegates going to convention today - 31 for Obama and 10 for Hillary. They also can change their minds - they are not locked in. So anything can happen. That's why the earlier numbers were higher for Hillary - they reflected less populated state senate districts reporting in. Now that Harris (Houston) and Travis (Dallas) have reported the tide swung. As far as I know we're still waiting on Corpus and San Antonio - those could be higher for Clinton with the hispanic vote in those regions.
