Reid to Worrying Democrats: ‘Cool It.’

By Jeff Zeleny

Updated Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic majority leader, said he does not believe the candidates’ tone has been problematic, but expressed concern about the fretting from some Democratic leaders. In an interview, Mr. Reid said that Democrats worrying over divisions in the party “need to relax and cool it a little bit.”

He said he has had separate conversations with the House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean and former Vice President Al Gore recently and is confident that the nominating fight will end naturally.

“People should not lament what is going on,” Mr. Reid said. “This will be over long before the convention. Does it mean June 5 or two weeks from now? I don’t know, but this will all be just fine.”

His remarks come as one of his fellow Democrats in the Senate, Patrick Leahy of Vermont, called on Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to pull out of the race, in part because of the potential that an extended campaign would hurt the party’s candidate in November. Another fellow Senator, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, made a surprise endorsement of Senator Barack Obama.

5. Yeah, lets all get hilary's
Bosnia freak on and pretend she's never endorsed mccain over Obama and pretend she didn't go the lowest back alley way to make up a story about ducking Bosian Sniper Fire when she and Chelsea landed in Tulza with Colonel William Goose Changose as their pilot and oh yeah, Sinbad was there too with a better memory.

Lets' pretend there's not political strips plastered across the country.

Feingold tells Obama fans to 'cool it'

The fight for the Democratic nomination for president has gotten personal in recent days, but U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold is urging calm.

"I'll tell some of the (Barack) Obama supporters here today: Cool it," Feingold, D-Middleton, said Wednesday to a group of about 50 people at the University of Wisconsin Marathon County. "Take it a little easy."

The campaigns of Sens. Obama of Illinois and Hillary Clinton of New York have exchanged blows in recent weeks, and aides to each campaign have resigned after making controversial statements. At UWMC, Feingold aimed his censure at Obama supporters, saying their purpose should not be to "crush" Clinton, but at other times, he seemed to take aim at both campaigns' rhetoric.

7. Harry Reid is regurgitating the Clinton talking points
This sounds strangely familiar to Bill Clinton's assertion that we should relax.

Harry is a Hillbot. His son works for the Clinton campaign.
