This is when I knew McCain was Bush III....
I remember hearing the audio of this interview and was amazed at his answers.. this was last march and I seriously thought he had no chance at the nomination....He is being questioned by a reporter:

Q: “So no contraception, no counseling on contraception. Just abstinence. Do you think contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV?”

Mr. McCain: (Long pause) “You’ve stumped me.”

Q: “I mean, I think you’d probably agree it probably does help stop it?”

Mr. McCain: (Laughs) “Are we on the Straight Talk express? I’m not informed enough on it. Let me find out. You know, I’m sure I’ve taken a position on it on the past. I have to find out what my position was. Brian, would you find out what my position is on contraception – I’m sure I’m opposed to government spending on it, I’m sure I support the president’s policies on it.”

and Obama's Aids Day speech

"Now, too often, the issue of prevention has been framed in either/or terms. For some, the only way to prevent the disease is for men and women to change their sexual behavior - in particular, to abstain from sexual activity outside of marriage. For others, such a prescription is unrealistic; they argue that we need to provide people with the tools they need to protect themselves from the virus, regardless of their sexual practices - in particular, by increasing the use of condoms, as well as by developing new methods, like microbicides, that women can initiate themselves to prevent transmission during sex. And in the debate surrounding how we should tackle the scourge of AIDS, we often see each side questioning the other's motives, and thereby impeding progress."

when you contrast the two....one is an informed, knowledgeable and thoughtful comment. the other is uninformed, off the cuff, and he defers to the "President's Policies" but doesn't know what they are ....

I hope the American Public votes with their brains this time...

2. Sounds like the same thing he says when asked about the...
...economy. Says he doesn't know much about economics, and defers to others.

With the sh!t-pile Bush is leaving, McCain would be a disaster for this country.

This is the kind of answer we are going to get from all those kids who have no clue because they didn't learn anything about contraception in High School.

McCain is the best argument against abstinence only wackos.
