They say you can tell how a candidate would run their administration by the way they run
their campaign.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0308/9259.html

Boiled down, at the end of Feb. Clinton is running an 85% deficit with her primary funds. She is stiffing small businesses all across the country for bills owed (to the tune of $8.7 million!) for their services in order to fund mostly TV advertising.

"The New York senator’s presidential campaign ended February with $38 million in the bank, according to a report filed last week with the Federal Election Commission, but only $16 million of that can be spent on her battle with Obama.

The rest can be spent only in the general election, if she makes it that far, and must be returned if she doesn’t. If she had paid off the $8.7 million in unpaid bills she reported as debt and had not loaned her campaign $5 million, the cash she would have had available at the end of last month to spend on television ads and other upfront expenses would have been less than $2 million."

"By contrast, if you subtract Obama’s $625,000 in debts and his general-election-only money from his total cash on hand at the end of last month, he’d still be left with $31 million."

5. Methuen, you are so right., and when he lies and gets caught
He twists and turns and tries to wiggle out of it, and the media doesn't call him on it. The more I see and hear him the less I like him. If that's possible. If he gets in the country won't have a chance of recovery.

HillHaters would give a pass to BO if photos of him humping a chipmunk were on the front cover of Newsweek. "The chipmunk deserved it," they'd type in lockstep.

3. OK, I'm Going To Bring Up The Edwards Haircut Fuss Again
He got blasted for what he paid the guy. What Edwards paid for was service and convenience. He paid the guy for the haircut, and then he paid for the guy to close up his shop and meet him on the campaign trail at Edwards' convenience. Edwards got what he wanted and needed and the guy didn't have to sacrifice an entire day's worth of haircuts. Small businesses run on small margins and can't afford to carry anyone. Especially not millionaires, not Edwards, not Clinton, and to a lesser degree (where personal millions are concerned) Obama. Nobody owes a candidate their livelihood. All those millions Clinton paid Penn last month would probably have settled all her debts and then some.

7. That would mean that Obama would throw money
at the problem. Iowa, Obama over 8 million in ads, Clinton over 6.5 million in ads, Edwards over 2.7 million in ads, you do the math. He's running through money like it's free or something. Oh, wait, it is free, people are giving it to him. Duh! What kind of spending will he do in the white house when he has ALL that money available to him?

9. Wow, are you missing the point! He may be throwing money, but it's money he HAS, not money borrowed
or kept because he didn't pay the bills. Remember, too, he has had to overcome Clinton's name recognition, and he's done a superb job of it. Sounds like you're really reaching for those sour grapes. Try a taller ladder.

10. No, I don't support either of them
I am appalled at all the money spent on this mud bath. There are other creative ways to win an election, apparently if you have the money, you just throw it at the problem.

Clinton's name recognition? What a laugh! Clinton has had bad press for the last 16 years. Obama has been the darling since the 2004 convention. For every good article about Clinton, you could probably find 10 good articles about Obama. She certainly isn't the devil, but has been treated as one in the press.

And to tell you the truth, I would have voted for any of the candidates in the beginning. But, at this point, it will be a cold day in hell before I would vote for Obama. His supporters tell his real story. His arrogance is dripping from each and every one of them who tell Clinton supporters that they don't need them, or grow up, or get out of the race. And I certainly know what that's like because they told us Edwards supporters the exact same thing. The Clinton supporters however, were quite nice to us and supportive. Clinton then went up in my eyes, because of her supporters. I would now hold my nose and vote for her.
