Edwards endorsement is now meaningless.
"It is past the time where his endorsement could have any value."

1. These rumors are probably started by Hill supporters
In an attempt to get Edwards supporters on the Hiltrain.

14. Yep, anything to stir up trouble. If it stinks then it most likely is from the gutter.

3. There have been so many rumors of him about to endorse since he left the race
I'll believe it when I see it.

4. Tell me honestly,
what good is the announcement of Edwards endorsement now? Hillary has to miraculously win all remaining contests to overtake Obama. I don't see how his endorsement would change anything. Maybe take the heat off of Hillary for Snipergate. I don't believe Edwards would cause a huge number of SD's to suddenly break towards Clinton.

5. Who cares if it's meaningless it sure shows respect
they have for one another. That being said, if it doesn't mean anything I'm sure you wont lose any sleep over it.

6. He couldn't deliver NC for Kerry in 04
and he has even less influence now.

8. Ignorant -
Kerry chose not to campaign here, pure and simple, their vote wasn't asked for. I live in NC and there was not a one political ad for Kerry/Edwards. Kerry chose not to campaign in red areas, much to his downfall, not Edwards for he had pushed for it. Get your facts straight.

7. I disagree
I admire Edwards and his populist, anti-poverty message. If he chooses to endorse Hillary, I'd like to know why. I don't expect it make me a supporter, but I'd be respectfully interested in his reasoning, especially at this stage of the campaign.

10. I wouldn't call it meaningless, but it certainly doesn't carry the weight
it would have carried had he endorsed shortly after suspending his campaign.

11. I sometimes think Edwards is toying with the Clintons. I wonder how often the
Clinton Camp calls him, and what those conversations are like.

I can't help but think, he's tugging the paper tiger by the tail.

it MIGHT prolong the inevitable and hurt the party -

He doesn't want that, does he??

13. People endorse because its helpful to themselves.
How does it help Edwards to endorse Hillary now that she has practically no chance at all of winning. Answer: It doesn't. It makes him a superloser. I will be shocked if he's that stupid because it will ruin his future chances at running for or being appointed to anything.

15. Newsflash - he's not endorsing Obama
either - he will, however, support the nominee after Denver. That much he has said.
