Obama losing Virginia by 11 points to McCain
Edited on Sun Mar-30-08 03:54 PM by Herman Munster
And I know what the Obama cultists are going to say, but Hillary is losing by twice as much. Yeah, but Hillary's entire electoral prospects don't rest on Virginia. She can win the general by winning Ohio and/or Florida. Obama will not win two of the most racist states in the union.

He needs to make up those electoral votes by winning Virginia and running the table out west winning Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, but losing Virginia doesn't make the math work.

http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/virginia/virginia_2008_presidential_election

Since wrapping up the Republican nomination, John McCain has gained ground on his two potential Democratic challengers in many states. Virginia is no exception. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Virginia voters found McCain ahead of Barack Obama by eleven percentage points, 52% to 41%. McCain leads Hillary Clinton by an enormous twenty-two point margin, 58% to 36%

So I got nothing to say to you, and for the first time - I will say this "LET IT SINK"!

7. So the fact that Obama is losing VA by half as much as Hillary is is evidence for how...
we need to nominate Hillary.

You're a real hoot nowadays, Herman.

9. Bill and Hill shouldn't promote McCain each day.
More than Hillary's statement about McCain and she passing the CIC test, and Obama gave a speech, Bill talked of McCain as the maverick, centrist and straight-shooter. What are his motives? Should Hillary not get the nod, he appeases the lobbyists, his new Neo-con contacts, and holds onto his leadership of the Party?

Just like in 2004, when on his book tour at the same time as the convention, Bill rarely mentioned Kerry, and never criticized Bush, his reasons for going to war, defended him, as he covered up for Bush I. Clinton never made the case for change. "Deja vu all over again?"

10. This just in: VA does not vote until November.
The only #s that matter now are the ones that show Obama
beating Hillary.

Obama will crush McCain in the general election .... McCain
trying to sell a war that 75% of Americans now think as a bad
idea and or not going well.

12. You need to check out Rasmussen's head to heads in all of the states
to find out that your supposition about Ohio/Florida is just outright false.

http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/election_2008_presidential_race_state_by_state_snapshot

Ohio is exactly the same for both Obama and Clinton against McCain and Obama's numbers are better in Florida.

in the same poll at your link:

"McCain leads Hillary Clinton by an enormous twenty-two point margin, 58% to 36%"

14. yes herman but like Wyoming
he was down a gazillion billion before so now he's ahead.

You are aware of the facts

1) that Obama trounced Clinton in Virginia so he will do much better than she there.

2) they are actually going to conduct a campaign with speeches, debates, political commercials and crazy hats.

3) 6 months ago Hillary led everything to the convention to the general election and her reelection to a second term was already in cement.

4) That everyone who has underestimated Senator Obama's ability to win elections has been wrong.

15. You have insulted both PA and FLA.
Obama will not win two of the most racist states in the union.

Why do you want to go there? Calling both states racist sure won't help us win those states no matter who the nominee is. But the way the economy is going and given McCain's enthusiastic support for NAFTA, I doubt if McCain can win Ohio racism or not.

be sinking in the GE matchups. Ya think. Face it. Hillary is only concerned with herself becoming president whether it's in 2008 or 20012. Whatta gal. :puke:

I wonder if Clinton can pull off a 30 point victory in Pennsylvania?

23. Herman, Herman, Herman. With posts like this, you really need to think about joining the cult.
This effort is not exactly one of your stronger arguments on behalf of your candidate.

Always remember, us cult members would welcome your joining us.

24. About that Ohio head-to-head
You may need to rethink your argument.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/national.html

Obama - narrow win
Clinton - loss

If we are measuring by current polls, your premise is flawed.

With the vote split 2 to 1 you really have no idea what you are measuring, do you?
