Klobuchar: Obama: "inspired an enthusiasm... that we have not seen in this country in a long time."
WASHINGTON - Barack Obama picked up the endorsement of Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar Sunday night, giving him another superdelegate supporter.

In a statement provided to The Associated Press, Klobuchar said Obama "has inspired an enthusiasm and idealism that we have not seen in this country in a long time."

Klobuchar, a freshman Democrat, said Obama speaks "with a different voice, bringing a new perspective and inspiring a real excitement from the American people." She compared him to the late Hubert Humphrey, who served as a senator from Minnesota and as vice president.

Obama carried Minnesota by a large margin over rival Hillary Rodham Clinton last month.

"My endorsement reflects both Barack's strong support in my state and my own independent judgment about his abilities," Klobuchar said.

On reflection, maybe the reason Obama always looks so calm and cool is because he has this whole thing mapped out. I'm beginning to understand that I don't have to get all upset, because I can have faith in his ability to weather all this stuff.

7. He has also inspired more disgust than any Dem since Humphrey,

who was still supporting the Viet Nam war when he ran in '68. And he gives me the same bad vibes
I got from * in 2000.

But you can fool some of the people all of the time, even if you're a phony like BO.

27. Drip, drip, drip ...
Having superdelegates endorse Obama one at a time like this is, in some ways, better than having them come aboard all at once. It makes his victory seem inexorable and gives Clinton supporters time to adjust to the reality.
