A word about Jackson-Lee and other elected endorsers
Jackson-Lee has every right to endorse Hillary Clinton no matter who her constituents voted for. She wasn't elected to do as a majority of them wish; she was elected to represent them by using her best independent judgment. And that goes for all Reps and Senators. Some reps who voted against the IWR came from pro-war districts. Do you really think they should have voted as their constituents wish? The cure for a rep that the people believe doesn't represent them well, is a primary challenge.

SDs have the right to endorse whoever the hell they want to, and I don't have any problem with that. If my rep and Senator had voted for Clinton, I would have been disappointed but no way would I savage them for it.

Having said that, I don't see that it's such a big deal that Jackson-Lee got booed by her constituents. A few months ago, my Rep agreed to meet with pro-impeachment folks, and he got booed for sticking with his position against impeachment. He dealt with it. And Jackson-Lee will deal with it too.

1. She has every right to endorse her... And they have every right to find
someone else to replace her next time around.

3. I doubt that will happen
most people aren't one issue voters and particularly not with an issue like this.

6. probably not but she didn't just endorse Clinton
She went on TV repeatedly to carry water in ridiculous spin sessions just echoing the Clinton campaign.

Given the fact that her district went 90% for Obama it was an exceedingly stupid thing to do. She basically told her constituents to go to hell.

She is now marked and some bright young politician is planning a primary run at her. She may not lose it this time but the pressure is going to be on her for a long time.

5. would you vote against someone you thought had served you
well, just because you didn't agree with her endorsement of a presidential candidate?

7. It is more than the endorsement of a Presidential Candidate
It has to do with the dreams of all those little kids of all colors who will understand that striving for excellence is the key to success.

I wish I got that feeling if Hillary wins, but I do feel that her biggest boost was being married to Bill. To be sure, she is no slouch herself in the hard work department, but political machines acquired through family connections doesn't do it for me.

So this is about dreaming and achieving in my eyes.

If I felt she was getting in the way of that then yes I would give her the boot.
