Poll question: If not at convention, where should Kerry formally accept the nomination?
Edited on Sat May-22-04 12:58 AM by Bombtrack
I don't have my mind made up about this whole issue. But where do you think it should happen if it's delayed?

3. Apparently no ones talking about it here
Kerry weighs delaying nomination. Dramatic move would give him access to more cash.

Yeah, go to any news website
They are considering delaying his actual nomination until after the convention by about a month to compete with Bush in fundraising rules. It would give the GOP another advantage if there was the 5 week difference for when he was officially nominated.

2. I think he can get nominated at the convention,
He just can't accept the nomination until later in order to balance the type of money he will be spending.

6. I voted for the Southern battleground...
'cause I live in Tennessee... but, honestly, I think it's silly to not accept the nomination at the convention.
Besides, this is all a publicity stunt anyway.
Because my beloved former profession, that I miss every day of my existance, has grown so STUPID, that it can't cover politics for fear of retribution.
It's a newsmaker. 'Tis all. And Bravo for Kerry's team for finding a way to make it so.

7. He will HAVE to be nominated at the convention
That is the only forum where the delegates will be.

The trial balloon being floated is whether he will ACCEPT the nomination then or later.

15. Personally,
I think he should wait until the day before the Repuke convention. Let him steal headlines for the day instead of those pathetic assholes.

Either that, or the day AFTER the Repuke convention. He can upstage Bush that way.

17. Few days after the Rep. Convention to distract the news
from the Repucs. Who Kerry has a running mate would totally oust all Rep. coverage. Use the same tactics on them as they do on us.

20. His VP, Wes Clark
should throw a big party in Arkansas...invite Dems to the party, and accept the nomination there. He should wait until AFTER the repuke convention though. I think this move was absolutely brilliant on Kerry's part....just brilliant. The republicans are foaming at the mouth...just where we want 'em!
