Caucusing is EASY! A great video from last November, before caucusing became EVIL!
Oh, this is really a well done Clinton campaign video that was posted last year. It is a must see, and was given great reviews by some of our favorite DUers! Thanks, guys!

I do agree with the Clinton campaign that caucusing is not as hard as exercising. But more importantly, it is a great party builder, a grass roots organizing tool AND a way to meet your democratic neighbors! I love my new "caucus" buddies, both Clinton and Obama supporters. We will fight the GOP this November, side by side! Yes We Will!

Remember.
Exercising is hard.
Singing is hard.
Dancing is hard.
Caucusing is easy!

4. I appreciate their self-deprecating humor in this video.
Even more, i like the way it shows that they were quite happy with caucusing early on, as were the Clinton supporters. There was a respect for the democratic process waaay back then. It seems to be a much simpler time, does it not?

Now, Bill says they are undemocratic. "Everybody knows this." Ed Rendell says it.
Others in their camp say it. People here shout it.

What changed?
Caucuses were respectable just a few short months ago.
They were EASY!

Caucuses have not changed.
People have.

18. Agreed, they were very light and loose at that point, before Iowa.
I guess inevitability lends one a certain spring in the step.

8. "I can get back for my favorite TV shows!"
Ummm, unless there are 87 challenges and it takes 12 hours...;)

But we persevered, and were rewarded thusly.

7. Whats this? You don't even have to be a Democrat to caucus?
Why, she's... she's... trying to get Republicans and Independents to throw the DEMOCRATIC primary to her!!!

:sarcasm:

9. The closer you look, the more ironic goodness there is, eh?
Iowa had same day registration, a democratic position for quite some years. ;)

15. Indeed, I caucused for 12 hours myself -- Not easy, but VERY REWARDING!
If you disagree, take it up with the Clinton campaign. It was their position in November that "Caucusing is EASY" -- my position is not about how EASY it is, but how REWARDING and worthwhile it is.

And I really do like having new democratic friends from both "camps" --so different from the rancor in GDP!
We made it fun, and no fighting between us. How refreshing.:hi:

16. What Joe Trippi said.
http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/obamamachineryofhope/page/5

Clinton has since complained that caucuses are "dominated by activists" who "don't represent the electorate." But that bellyaching, says Trippi, "is pure cover for 'We blew it.' If you can win a precinct just by getting ten people there — and that's true — then why the hell didn't she get ten people there?"

Adds Moulitsas of Daily Kos, "I don't know how a candidate can say she'll be ready to lead on Day One, when she can't even organize a simple caucus."

24. Absolutely, more like crossed several state lines! We were so much younger then!
It kinda makes me wonder if she had won and swept through Super tuesday, that all we would have seen would have been a nice, self-deprecating steamroller campaign. We would have missed "meet me in Ohio" Hillary, and Barack might have even been qualified to be "mentored" by the inevitable duo. How different history might have been!

That is really weird, how small twists of fate could have such large implications.
Wowsers.
