as of Jan 21, 2009 we will have either the first black president, or the first female president, and in any case it will be a Democrat.

We will have approximately 260 Democrats in the House of Representatives

We will have 60 Democrats in the Senate, and that is AFTER stripping Joe Lieberman of his committee assignments

It may be too late, but once we have completely neutered the entire GOP machine, including Rove, Big Media, and the reactionary judiciary, we will get back on track very quickly, since the world will once again be on our side.
