What's our chances of stealing Missouri from the Republicans?
Do we have a better chance to win Missouri than we do Florida?

Missouri may be the big battleground state this Fall.

Who plays better there? Hillary or Obama?

I do not feel good about Obama's chances in OH, so MO would be my ideal choice to target in the Fall.

Do we have any chance of stealing this state from the Rethugs?

2. Do you live there?
I don't think McLame will play as well there as Bush did in 2000 and 2004. I am hoping Obama could put this state in play. With large turnout in St Louis, we may steal the state.

3. Obama will carry MO, CO, and the Mountain West
NV, MT, NM, SD, ND and maybe AZ if McCain goes batty enough to piss off the AZ Rethugs.

4. Come on, Obama isn't winning North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.
No chance in hell.

6. Ok. Maybe not SD, but MT and ND is realistic
Both of them have excellent Democratic representative - Tester from MT, Schweitzer from MT, Dorgan and Conrad from ND. Tim Johnson is still VERY popular in SD, and there is a very good chance that Tim may endorse Obama before the SD primary, and campaign for him.

27. Obama takes CO ? AZ ?
Both of those states are heavy NRA states ... no way BO takes either one.

7. Head to head matchups are still meaningless at this point.
Wait till after Hillary drops out for good, then they'll have to redo all the math.

I am not comfortable putting our election chances in the hands of the increasingly GOP trending Florida.

15. Good shot to take Missouri
McCaskill's win was a painful blow for the GOPers, since she peeled enough off the rural counties to make the cities count.

BTW, I'd switch Pennsylvania with Virginia. I highly doubt we win Virginia.

25. It's a do it yourself.. I forgot to bookmark the link & cannot find it now
I think that VA is do-able..as are the two little specks in NE..and colorado.. PA, OH, or FL would be a bonus, but the ones on my map are places with smaller populations and with some concentration, I think he can do it :)

28. that looks exactly like my current view of what the GE will be
for Obama v. McCain. (except I have ND blue)

Jim Webb was born in MO so Webb as VP would be a boost in MO as well as VA, imo.

21. If I'm not mistaken McCain was just in Mo
announcing some new educational funding that was going to certain states, only Mo wasn't one of them.

Probably should have held onto that info for a couple more days..

22. NJSecularist I'm not sure but I heard McKaskill
used drugs, cocaine. She said it was only in the 70's but the rumor bug was put out there the past month. So I don't know how that will effect the vote.

23. Let's hope it doesn't effect anything.
She will have to be one of Obama's biggest allies if we want to take Missouri.

24. It's a swing state. We shouldn't have to steal it - just win it.
Edited on Mon Mar-31-08 10:57 PM by FlyingSquirrel
And it's also a bellweather state, which means it usually goes to the winner. So we should be trying to win Missouri and states like it.
