Where the Super Delegates Stand
http://www.politico.com/superdelegates/

I find it very surprising that the Maryland SD's went so heavy for Clinton considering Obama killed her there (if I was an Obama supporter in Maryland I would be writing these people).

The most remaining SD's are from CA, MD, NC, OH and TX

1. there are a lot of superdelegates that have made comments indicating
that they will change their vote but have phrased it in such a way as to make it impossible for the SD counters to change their status. So Hillary's numbers in the SD count are very soft.

Here is one example http://www.columbian.com/news/localNews/2008/03/03242008_Cantwell-supporting-Clinton--for-now.cfm

2. Stupid question......... but
What officially confirms their status? Do they call the DNC to tell them to add their endorsement? How do they officially pledge?

The "supers" discuss with the camapaigns or just announce it themselves but there's nothing binding. The DNC has nothing to do with it since these delegates are and will remain "unpledged" through the entire convention.

And it's not a stupid question at all.
