Have you noticed that Hillary mostly talks about Obama and he
Edited on Tue Apr-01-08 01:01 PM by In_Transit
seldom mentions her? She spends most of her time criticizing him and he usually compliments her. She usually misquotes him or takes what he says out of context, exaggerates, and is always derogatory toward him.Meanwhile, he is quick to defend her and her right to continue. He is always complimentary, and has not tried to ridicule her.
Have you noticed that too? What does that tell you?

38. He didn't have to when he was behind and Clinton was the front runner
There were plenty of other people taking pot shots at Clinton at that point. Running a positive campaign and letting others take the hit for negative campaigning was a smart tactic. The fact that he continues to run a generally positive campaign is more impressive. There certainly must be people advising him to kneecap the Clintons.

a long time. Don't underestimate the public, they're taking this all in. I haven't heard a kind word about her in weeks. He's on the campaign trail talking about issues, she's the little bratty girl left back, stomping, crying and sucking her thumb 'cause she didn't get her way. A hissyfit we called it back when...LOL. Stay in girl, we're all watching and taking notes.

He was less aggressive and quarrelsome in the debates as well. I think he's crafting an image of being cool-headed and stoic and, by example, showing her to be the more emotional candidate.

11. His campaign depends on all his thugs on DU. It's a smart strategy.
It's actually what he was groomed to do. His mentor helped his rise by championing legislation, doing all the hard work, and then letting Obama come in and take the credit. With the power he amassed for projects, he turned around and dumped money into his mentors district. This is why the majority of the legislation he passed in the State Senate occurred in one year.

It's really smart politicking and I admire his team for their craftiness. I don't mind the backhandedness so much, we need it to fight the Republicans, I'm more concerned that he further center right that we expect.

39. She is pretty much forced to do that
She can only win by bringing his negatives up to the point where he is no longer a viable candidate in the general election. She can only do that by focusing on Obama, and Obama only. She has the choice of going after Obama or dropping out. Dropping out obviously not an option for her, so that leaves the 'going negative' option. Unfortunately for her, that option seems to be backfiring.

I like him.

He reminds me of a local guy who served on our school board for several terms. He was pure class. No matter what his opponents said about him, he refused to criticize them. He only said his qualifications, and why he wanted to be re-elected to the school board. Nothing negative.

He won time and time and time again, until he retired from public service. He was so great. I miss him. I think he's dying out as a type of person, too.
