Why care about the delegates?
Why should one be concerned by the number of delegates any candidate is getting now?

At this point, the nominee is decided, but moreso, the glut of delegates is decided and therefore Kerry's platform is the platform of the party.

The other delegates will not have enough votes to affect the convention at all.

2. Exactly, who cares about those not towing the DLC party line.
If you were so unintelligent as to support anyone but Kerry then you need to wise up and get in line behind the neo liberal leadership because you have no other choice. Anyone but Kerry was a traitorous fringe candidate that had no possibility of getting elected and any attempt to give any input into party policy will be crushed by the democratic power elite. Sustainable economic and environmentaly policies are no longer possible so stop whining about them and lay back and enjoy the end times.

In short, just shut up.

And don't forget to vote.

(Is that acceptable discourse in response to an obviously inflammatory post?)

4. Why
continue to attempt marginalize those Democrats who want to have some input in the party?

Do you really want Kerry to be elected?

5. Tell that to Bob Dole.

... the glut of delegates is decided and therefore Kerry's platform is the platform of the party.

Bob Dole won the Republican nomination handily in '96 but still had his proposed platform voted down.

6. Thanks
How'd that happen? What aspects of the platform asserted by Dole was impalatable to the GOP delegates?
