Furthermore I do have a problem with the sucking up to the worst of the rightwing media that the Clintons have been engaged in. Liason to Drudge, Murdoch, Scaife. It will backfire on them- and us.

it was an interview and the interview was put in the paper. This is exactly what the 700 club does.

so if Scaife says she told him she eats babies for breakfast she could verify she didn't. I am assuming there is either a tape or transcript somewhere.

17. Some editor dsc....how do you feel about him supporting shit like this?
Cliff Kincaid is a right-wing writer and activist who has been a longtime critic of the United Nations and other multinational organizations. He is also a writer and editor at Accuracy in Media (AIM), a right-wing media "watchdog" organization. He has received significant support for his work from foundations controlled by right-wing financier Richard Mellon Scaife, who has funded AIM as as well as Kincaid's own organization, America's Survival. America's Survival is dedicated to "educat the American people and to expos the influence of global institutions, including an International Criminal Court, on their lives." The organization appears to be run from Kincaid's personal residence.

http://mediamatters.org/items/200512100001

In a December 13, 2005 column, Kincaid called for a "Quit Gay Sex" campaign to rival "Quit Smoking Campaigns" launched by certain media outlets in the United States. He contended that homosexual sex is widespread and homosexual men "simply cannot stop having homosexual sex" and that it was spreading HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.

...75 percent of AIM's funding comes from contributors donating US$100 or less. Only three donors of the remainder are given by name: the Allied Educational Foundation, Shelby Cullom Davis, and billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife. Scaife gave $2 million to Accuracy in Media since 1977 -1997.<15>

42. I think they are both slime
but that doesn't mean our candidates can't be interviewed by them. Frankly, in the case of Robertson, I don't see the percentage but in the case of Scaife, it might end up making sense. He is apparently against the war, pissed at Bush, has always been pro choice, and thus might be willing to at least not be as much a problem as before. I think it made Hillary look courageous, evidently she charmed the room (it was an interview with several editors), and I don't see that as a bad thing. Now if she starts spouting Scaife inspired nutty ideas then that is a problem. And frankly, if an interview would keep Robertson from being his loony self, then sign my ass up too.

46. well I do believe people can change
8 years ago today I was drunk and likely passed out by now. I know this not because April 1, 2000 is a special day, but because it was a usual day and I was usually passed out drunk by this time 8 years ago. I celebrate 8 years sober on April 9th. People can change. I am proof of that.

You were a good person to start with, so your spots haven't changed. The Scaifes and Robertsons of this world never started from that base of goodness.

A big congrats on your 8 years. I now from people close to me that it's not an easy struggle.

or the amount of material redacted in her WH papers? Or her "exaggeration" of the Irish Peace Process?

I have to believe after all the above-it takes blind devotion to back Sen Clinton.

Edited on Tue Apr-01-08 06:57 PM by The Night Owl
Using the Obamaton logic routine which forces Obamatons to believe that Hillary Clinton agrees with everyone she meets, I guess I have to assume that Barack Obama will agree with every dictator he meets with.
