Working People of Pennsylvania: Do The Right Thing...Vote For Obama!
The labor movement has an obligation to fight all forms of bigotry.

This means that the labor movement has an obligation to oppose any candidate whose supporters say "the country isn't ready for a black president".

On all the issues, Obama is and has always been pro-labor.

Unlike the other candidate, Obama has always been against this war, a war in which working-class people of all races have died for corporate greed.

The Obama campaign calls for all groups that have been out in the cold to unite for justice and progressive politics.

The HRC campaign insults the workers of Pennsylvania by acting like all of you are nothing but the ugly right-wing stereotypes of working-class people Hollywood depicted in THE DEER HUNTER.

If you vote Obama, you vote your class interests(which are always antiracist).

If you vote for the other candidate, you vote to be as bad as Rush Limbaugh says you are.

Don't let them insult you. Don't let them pretend workers have no dreams and no hopes for a better world.

The candidate that deserves workers' votes in Pennsylvania is the progressive candidate, the candidate of hope and the future, Barack Obama.

I'm a union worker. My union(the Inlandboatmen's Union of the Pacific), is the maritime wing of the TRUE Longshoremen's union(ILWU).

Unite working people. Move on to the future ALL of us dream of. Vote hope, not fear. Vote Barack Obama.

Workers lose if Obama loses.

1. My union is strongly considering Senator Obama.
Something I thought would never happen considering my Business Manager's personal relationship with both Governor Rendell and President Clinton. I'm lobbying like hell for Obama and think we'll make the right choice. I've been peppering my jobsite with Obama stickers and they are being received quite well.

8. Yes.
We are the most powerful union in the city of Philadelphia politically. Our business manager John Dougherty is running for state senate and with Obama piggybacked onto his overwhelming support Philadelphia will go even stronger for Barack. He's going to win here anyway.

4. Thanks. You're doing the right thing.
Another way to look at it is that Obama's candidacy has a CIO sensibility, whereas HRC's is old, dreary, right-wing AFL(as in Sam Gompers in the bad old days).

2. Certainly don't vote for clinton, who not only lied about nonexistent sniper fire but also NAFTA.
She lied when she said she didn't support it, and the evidence proves it (just as video evidence proves her Tuzla lies).

Oh, and just to get it out of the way:

ATTN LIARS FOR CLINTON CLUB: THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT DISAVOWED THE LIE THAT OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN "REASSURED" THEM THAT HIS ANTI-NAFTA TALK WAS MEANINGLESS. IT NEVER HAPPENED, SO DON'T BOTHER WITH THAT LIE.

9. We need a strong force for our own in the White House - I salute you Longshoremen
I have been following the port in Mexico that they are trying to build so they can get around our West Coast Longshoremen. I am sure you know about that. It is being built by the Chinese and Wal-Mart and now Mexico and the Bushies are bringing trucks into the U.S. to get around using the West Coast Ports and the U.S. Truckers. I tried to get some interest in it but seems that some think any time you mention something like that you are against immigrants. I am far from that - we all have to stick together or our middle class is going to be gone! They are moving so many of the manufacturing plants to Mexico too.

Here is a link if anyone is interested - it isn't fiction and by the way the Teamsters have endorsed Obama:

Hoffa Blasts Bush Administration's Indifference to NAFTA Harm

Teamsters General President Says U.S. Drivers at Risk to Unsafe Trucks From Mexico

March 10, 2008

(Washington, D.C.) – Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa blasted the Bush administration today for its reckless indifference to the economic struggles of working Americans who are suffering under the North American Free Trade Agreement with more than a million lost jobs and billions of dollars in lost wages.

“No matter how many jobs we lose, no matter how many foreclosures, no matter how many people die on the highways, the Bush administration just doesn’t care about the safety and security of American workers,” Hoffa said.

Hoffa’s comments followed a news conference by Transportation Secretary Mary Peters, who extolled the so-called benefits of NAFTA. Peters claimed that closing the border to unsafe Mexican trucks would hurt American businesses that want to sell to Mexico.

Hoffa said he doubted that because of the crime problem in Mexico. “I mean, hello, do you really want to take a load of Cadillacs down there and park? I don’t think so.”

Peters also claimed that Mexico will retaliate against the United States if it closes the southern border.

Hoffa pointed out that the United States buys $70 billion more goods from Mexico than it sells to that country.

“I don’t buy it,” Hoffa said in a conference call with reporters. “They’ve got a $70 billion trade surplus. They’d be foolish to do it.”

He cited a long list of companies that have moved their operations to Mexico, including Teamster employers such as Swingline Stapler, Square D, Mr Coffee, and others such as Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Whirlpool, Pillsbury, Lexmark, Eastman Kodak and Levis Wrangler.

10. Thanks.
And thanks for mentioning the "NAFTA Superhighway".

This is an attack not only on all workers(since, like all other globalist measures, it's about bringing down wages and forcing humiliating and dangerous concessions in working conditions), it's an attack on both U.S. and Mexican sovereignty.
