5. Was looking at Survey USA, PA polling has her down in men by 7.
The Bosnia thing probably resulted in a sexist turn of opinion against her, women remain unchanged, probably because they understand politics a bit better and recognize when people embellish and even outright lie for political purposes.

Expressing outrage at her blatant lies is now sexist, too?

8. Kentucky & WV... especially WV.... are two states I know well...
....

Racism runs deep there. Very deep.

That's a major part of Obama's problem in those two states.

13. I Have Said This Before...
KY or WV does not have a lock on racism. There is no more racism or gender bias here than in the majority of this country. Racism is, unfortunately, everywhere. Hillary does well in states like KY and WV, OH, & IN because they tend to be more conservative in view and rural and agricultural with manufacturing areas. You want racism...go anywhere...just don't label any one state as more racist than another. I would strongly suspect that racism exist in CA and NY and even PA, just like everywhere else. Also, Hillary does well in KY because she is more conservative and because this state voted for Bill Clinton in 92 & 96 and is still very popular. Kentucky is just now becoming engaged in the Primary process, while I do believe that Hillary will win KY for the reasons stated above, I think Obama will close the gap some.

PS...Forgot to mention that I live in Lexington, KY.

28. LOL. How Sad For You!
Talk about a solution in search for a problem.....

Who was the last Democrat to win Kentucky & West Virginia in the general election? Hint - He won both of them (twice.)

Come to think of it, this looks a lot like a Hillary vs. McCain map...

30. Let Me Guess....The White Clinton
and based on the primary polls, it looks like they prefer the white candidate far more than the multi-racial one. So I'm to believe a 30 point advantage has nothing to do with race.

Was a Clinton.

And seriously, why are there not claims of racism against Obama's 80%+ African-American support?

They just want someone the "Change it Back" (Before President Pretzel)

I asked it it was racist for Obama to have 80%+ African-American support. You said they were not racist, that they were proud.

So can't the mirror opposite be true also?

<ETA> I was not mocking you at all, and I am sorry if it came across that way.

10. Clinton and Obama tied in delegates in MO and that state hasn't moved into the tied column.
He won MO by 10,000 votes, she won TX by 100,000 votes.

11. We count delegates in the primary, not popular vote.
Because some states hold caucuses, the Clinton notion about snagging the nomination by popular vote is not a fair one. (What a shocker.) I'm all for changing the system to straight, popular vote, but that isn't what we have now.

39. No, because even though Obama lost some big blue states in the primaries...
he will still win them in the general. There is no way that McCain will win blue states such as California, New York, or Massachusetts no matter who the nominee is.

41. No, actually, it's a silly argument. It is highly likely you could run
a Democratic tree stump in the states Hillary won and it would go blue in November. If Barack is the nominee, the states won't automatically go red.

24. She still needs 65% of the vote in all remaining races
to even come close to closing the gap with him. Even taking Kentucky's numbers right now she's at 58%. I'd guesstimate results there will end up being similar to Tennessee's, which were 54-41 in her favor. Good, but not good enough.

Edited on Wed Apr-02-08 09:42 AM by SoCalDem
and the KY election is a long way off..

That's been Bill's wife's problem for as long as she's been running.. Her reputation & name recognition vastly overstate her actual charm & support..

She's not "all that"..and once she actually arrives in a state and Obama arrives, she either has to cry or have mr Bill sling some racist shit (which she downplays & pretends to not understand), to get the old-folks, poor-folks & females to rally to poor little Mrs Bill..

The thinking population actually likes what Obama has to say, and once they start hearing from him, her support fades faster than the paint job on a '56 Chevy left in the sun for 40 years
