National Republican Congressional Committee's survey...
I got a four-page survey in the mail today, from the National Republican Congressional Committee, with a letter signed by Dennis Hastert, telling me I was chosen to take the "Ask America 2004 Nationwide Public Survey."

At the beginning of the survey, I'm asked to contribute to help pay for the survey.

Check out samples of the questions:

{Education) Do you agree with President Bush's reform proposal of flexibility and local control that will reduce red tape and give states and local school unprecedented flexibility in using federal funds to produce results?

(Defense) Did the Clinton administration go too far in cutting back America's defense and intelligence capabilities - particularly American troop strength and preparedness?

(General) Does the national news media accurately report the news without liberal bias?

(Federal Government) Is President Bush right in trying to rein-in the size and scope of the federal government against the wishes of the big government Democrats?

(The President and Congress) Do you agree that the obstructionist Democrats should not be allowed to gain control of the U.S. Congress in the 2004 elections?

3. You should send back...
...your own list of questions.

"Do you think an evangelical fundamentalist who claims to talk to God should be the leader of a secular republic?"

"Do you agree with Barbara Bush that her "beautiful mind" shouldn't be tarnished with images of dead soldiers returning in body bags?"

"Do you think if a First Lady commits vehicular homicide, it should never be mentioned again?"

"If a Republican snorts cocaine, is he against our War on Drugs?"

Fucking pricks.

4. They even have to lie to their own and cheat to "win."
How pathetic!

The angels are weeping.

6. No essay questions
One fill in the blank, which is already filled in with some venom. I'm going to have to shoot off some written complaints about this survey.

7. my response to the survey
1) Our local school districts are over burdened and under financed as it is and "Leave No Child Behind" did not give them the necessary tools and funds to do the job. Thanks to Bush's education policies property taxes are skyrocketing to try and keep schools solvent.

2) It is the Bush Administration which has stretched our armed forces and demoralized them through their rash judgement to commit our service people to Iraq which was nothing more than a political vendetta by Bush against Saddam Hussein. Furthermore, Bush hurt our nations credibility through the lies and deceit which led to this war.

3) There is no liberal news bias. There is rather a corporate media bias towards the Republicans. Look at who owns the news networks and tell me how they are biased towards liberals?

4) Bush has presided over the biggest deficits in history after inheriting the biggest surplusses in history thanks to President Clinton and the 1993 Economic Act passed by a Democratic congress.

5) Hell, NO!! I'm going to vote the straight democratic ticket. After four years of Bush and a Republican congress what do we have? A wrong minded deadly war in Iraq that we cannot possibly win. An economy which has lost over two million jobs and the biggest deficits in history. American prestige in the world is at all-time lows and gas prices are at all-time highs. Why reward the GOP?
