McCain = Doddering Old Fool
Edited on Wed Apr-02-08 02:40 PM by Stevendsmith
You know, I have to say I'm really enjoying McClone's ongoing "senior moment". Everyday he's showing the world what a clueless old buffoon he is. Everyday brings an embarrassing new "gaffe". I have a feeling he's just getting warmed up.

Sit back and enjoy the show!

2. He is such an old man
and I don't mean in just years. His mind is kind of foggy. He can't remember what he says from one moment to the next and he's mean. I'm torn between two images of him.

1. Raygun during his last years in office when he couldn't remember anything and Nancy was frequently seen prodding him with the correct answers.

2. A Grumpy Old Man like in the movie "Grumpy Old Men". He lashes out at reporters. He gets mean about unimportant matters. He argues and gets condescending even when he is clearly wrong.

Both seem to fit him.

5. Yep!
Believe me, I'm not making fun of old folks. If I'm lucky, I'll be a doddering old fool some day. But the fact that this doddering old fool is the Rethug nominee makes me giddy with delight.

Keep talking, John!

4. Sad to say, but I think that a compilation of his gaffes and "senior moments"
could seriously hurt him in the GE.

6. Reagan was also a doddering old fool
Americans seemed perfectly happy to ignore that- and his destructive policies at the time....

8. Reagan wasn't like that when he was campaigning though
well, at least the first time.

10. Very good point.
However, Reagan did not have to contend with the 24-7 cable media and the increasingly powerful accountability function of the blogosphere.

But, again, the point is well taken.

7. McSame is the reason I don't blame Hillary for going on in the race, I know a LOT of people who can
...tear him a new one on the issues including his constant flip flopping.

11. Here's the most recent one I'm aware of
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/01/cnn-catches-mccain-making-contradictory-statements-about-sadr/

Though I'm not sure whether to file this under "senior moment" or "gaffe".

Whichever, it's embarrassing and troubling.
