First, the Florida airplane incident with bomb components and now an anthrax scare with a container in California.

Trying to get the telecom immunity bill passed, or what?

Pretty sad when we can't even trust our government, but that's the first thought in my mind.

Authorities are investigating a report that a cargo container on a truck in Long Beach Harbor may have been contaminated with anthrax. The container was marked with graffiti saying "Anthrax a gift from Osama."

Long Beach Fire Battalion Chief Frank Hayes said a truck hauling the container was stopped at a terminal around 10:30 a.m. because of the spray-painted graffiti. The truck driver told authorities the container was picked up in nearby Wilmington and was empty.

The container was taken to a remote part of the harbor, and people are being kept away from the area while hazardous-materials crews wearing oxygen tanks and protective suits look for any signs of danger.

Authorities say there are no evacuations.
