Joint Statement from DNC Chairman Howard Dean, Florida Democratic Chairwoman
Karen L. Thurman and the Florida Congressional Delegation on Seating Florida's
Delegates

Washington, DC - After a joint meeting today among Democratic National Committee
Chairman Howard Dean, Florida Democratic Chairwoman Karen L. Thurman and the
Florida Congressional Delegation, the participants issued this joint statement:

"We are all committed to doing everything we can to ensure that a Florida
delegation is seated in Denver. We all agree that whatever the solution,
it must have the support of both campaigns. While there may be differences of
opinion in how we get there, we are all committed to
ensuring that Florida's delegation is seated in Denver. We're committed to
working with both campaigns to reach a solution as soon as
realistically possible. We are also laying the groundwork to ensure we win in
Florida in November and spent time here today talking about how to
do just that. We will continue to work towards a solution to ensure delegates
are seated and logistics are in place for a Florida delegation
in Denver."

11. Rules they made.
This has never happened in the past. Chosing the three states to pick a candidate before the others is undemocratic. Have the primary vote all on the same day.

9. As if Dean's pro-Obama don't give 1/2 vote position is not the cause of the problem.

10. Howard is awesome. He has the Florida party on record agreeing to make nice.
Good.

There is no doubt that after Obama has secured the nomination, then Florida's delegation will be negotiated and a compromise reached. I expect a simular compromise will be worked out at that time with Michigan.

Dean has been very professional and very fair thoughout the mini-rebellion spawned by the Florida and Michigan State Democratic Parties. We are extremely lucky to have him as our chair in these trying times.

Edited on Wed Apr-02-08 07:54 PM by mac2
Howard? We pay you to win not charm. He's the reason for our problems John Q. Citizen from DNC headquarters.

He picking Hillary to lose by interfering with the primaries is just so outrageous. I might vote for Hillary now just to bug Howard and you. What democracy?

Howard lied about him not supporting the Iraq war when I heard him say he did on CSPAN. He's been lying ever since. Leave Howard you are ruining our party and country. You are a Yalie Republican globalist.
