Clinton edits Texas ad for Pennsylvania (3 am "economic crisis" phone call)
3 am "ECONOMIC CRISIS"??????? Video of "new" commerical at link.

http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/04/clinton-reworks-texas-for-keys.html

Boy, is the Clinton campaign stuck on 3 a.m.! Check out her new/old TV spot, now airing in Pennsylvania. It's been retooled in 2 big ways:

1) The scary, scary thing now is John McCain's tepid response to the home foreclosure problem, not Barack Obama's inexperience in national security. (Note to those of you in the heartland who haven't seen your local real estate market either bubble up or collapse wildly: Maybe you don't want your tax dollars used to bail out imprudent borrowers and lenders. Not to worry. You won't be seeing this ad.)

2) The Texas ad used footage of a child actor, a girl in bed. She grew up to be an Obama supporter who complained to a Seattle TV station about her mug being used to shill for the Hill. In the PA ad, she's been replaced, I think. (It's a little dark in that bedroom, so please let me know if I'm wrong.)

<snip>

Announcer: It's 3 am, and your children are safe and asleep.
But there's a phone ringing in the White House and this time the crisis is economic.

Home foreclosures mounting, markets teetering.
John McCain just said the government shouldn't take any real action on the housing crisis, he'd let the phone keep ringing.

Hillary Clinton has a plan to protect our homes, create jobs. It's 3 am, time for a president who's ready.

12. Since when do presidents get phone calls at 3:00 a.m.
from the Secretary of the Treasury, or maybe the Fed Chairman?

"Sorry to call at this hour, Mr./Ms. President; just wanted to let you know that when the market opens tomorrow morning we think there might be some losses, and we also might need to think about some changes in the prime rate within the next few weeks, so I thought I should call and...."

"Huh? What the fuck?" *click*

"Hello...? Hello...?"

43. I was responding to the question as asked. Nothing more, nothing less.
I want a commander in chief with a BRAIN who knows how to respond to any crisis, and who has the respect and confidence of world leaders.

Instead, I believe, we are going to end up with President Popeye. And that's unfortunate, but that's what it is looking like.

or any of the other states/cities/vendors that she has stiffed over the last few months.

Wasn't it posted here recently that her people were not responding to a **certified letter** from one of her unpaid vendors? Think it was a company called 42..an event planning company that had not been paid yet.

19. I'm not sure who will respond to the ad
It may have some appeal, but the factor is something that I am sure they didn't overlook.
Her main advantage with this is late night TV, etc. That ad was the butt of more jokes. I think\hope her main objective is to try to pull out as much national publicity as possible with it.

36. It's 3 AM and 23 years ago the Western PA economy was destroyed under Reagan...
In the subsequent years 2 Bushes and the husband of one of the democratic candidates did fucking squat about it. But that's because the phonecall hadn't been made yet. Now, over two decades later the phone is ringing *pan to Hillary* "This fucking problem waited for 23 years, you gotta call me at 3 AM? You're fired. Tell your replacement to call me back about this after I've had a night of sleep!"

McCain Spoofs Clinton in New Ad

The McCain campaign plans to begin airing a new ad on national cable TV starting Thursday, aides said tonight. The spot, which attacks Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on the economy, may be the earliest attack ad ever aired by a candidate for president who has already secured his party’s nomination and is aiming at the other party. The campaign initially put the spot up on the Web but decided today to air it on TV as well.

The ad mocks a Clinton spot that began airing Wednesday, which asks voters who they want in the White House answering a 3 a.m. phone call about an economic crisis. The spot aims to paint Clinton as the strongest candidate to challenge McCain. She criticizes his approach to the current problems and said he would “let the phone keep on ringing.”

It’s easy to see how the McCain campaign was able to churn out a response spot so quickly. It uses identical footage, stolen right from the Clinton ad. The only difference is that it closes with a photo of McCain, replacing the photo of Clinton in the original.

Hello Barack its Hillary here. Please help Bill and me because they are foreclosing on our house due to lots of unpaid campaign bills and the 15 million dollar debt we built up when we were running for the Presidency. Can you help us President Obama - please, please!
