1. The media did not cover the PPP poll that shows him head. That is Great for Obama
It keeps expectations on HIllary. They still consider it heavily favored for Hillary.

36. Agreed; that poll is an outlier anyway, I don't put much stock in it.
The story is that an average of many polls shows that Hillary's lead seems to have shrunk from around 20 points to 10 or less. However if the media ignores that, fine. It make for a nicer surprise on election day.

39. Possibly, we wont know until election day. One thing is for sure, most of the other polls
have this in the low single digits.

2. Nice, I think the PPP poll may have triggered a little too high of a slope to be realistic, though.
Still, he's clearly catching up, especially when looking at certain demographics.

11. And remember, a 15 point loss is a win for Obama
Hillary has to be racking up 20-point wins.

38. They call clinton Casey now?
Good nickname for her - completely arrogant, has a sense of entitlement, and will strike out.

Casey Clinton. Has a ring to it, it does.

6. The main thing that stands out for me in this poll
Is how Hillary's numbers have dropped but for the most part Obama's have stayed the same the past month. The number of undecided have increased but I believe Hillary can get those voters back.

16. I know what your saying about the graph but
The past month he's been either in the high 30's to low 40's and I haven't seeb much change whereas Clinton has been in the 50's but has dropped the past week to 49%. I looked at the graph but the polls reflect a better picture.

25. Only once, New Hampshire. Didnt happen before in Iowa and Hasnt happened since
It wont in Pennsylvania either. Still, it is too soon to see an Obama victory there, but if the election were held today, I think Obama is down by 6-8. That is pretty good considering where he was not long ago. It also shows the state is very much in play with two weeks to go.

23. David Gergen mentioned this poll on Anderson Cooper
The topic was Obama closing the Pennsylvania race and they discussed another poll. Gergen said that Real Clear showed the race closer and he explained how the averages work etc. Also, is Candy Crowley a big Clinton supporter or what? She suggested that the Obama camp was going after the superdelegates like Clinton. Gergen corrected her and said there has not been one reported instance of the Obama campaign using the ill mannered tone as Clinton, as well as her tactics. (I'm paraphrasing here)

So, I started paying more attention to her. She visibly winces when anything positive about Obama is mentioned and she speaks in glorious tones about Clinton.

35. Definitely not a Clinton supporter, but the right & the Clinton campaign
have a singular goal, and that is to take out Obama, so that Hillary emerges as our nominee. The Clinton campaign has jumped into bed with the RW media, hence the reason we're seeing so much sourcing from RW hate sites being used here against Obama.

34. I follow the Iowa Electronic Markets

Senator Clinton is now priced at about the same point as Senator Edwards was the week he suspended his campaign.

IEM has been more accurate than most polls in most races, but they do occassionally get it pretty wrong.
